Not much point, your post count does not count for jack.
As long as your posts are helpful and informative then don't worry about it.;)
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

Nobody can suss the whole credit industry, anyway it changes in the summer when we join the Euro Guidance (hopefully) - this will mean we can share data throughout europe and also means data is removed a lot quicker, like 3yrs for defaults and so on... but i'll explain that nearer the time! :p

Have you got any reference to this NID? Just remembered today is the day (even though it is April's fool day - anyone been a victim yet? haha:D:D) your CIFAS data supposed to be wiped off for good! I wouldn't be surprised if CIFAS data is still there.

Keep up the good work NID:beer:

No I don't bank with Halifax. I applied for Aqua about two weeks ago and Vanquis and Capital One last week on the same day. Is that really bad? I've only got those three searches, a search in September 2009 and the Credit Expert searches (two of these for same thing??) on my file. Is that too many searches on my file?
I earn an ok wage, my boyfriend is on quite a good salary, we privately rent our flat and I'm looking to build my rating because *eventually* we'll buy together  and I'd hate for my credit rating to hinder our mortgage choices.
Reading this thread, I presumed that getting a sub prime card or two, being extremely sensible with it would benefit me in the long run, am I barking up the wrong tree?

A sub prime credit card can help you in the long run if you run your account well. I would not worry about the searches because you only have three which is fine.

Niddy, I have been reading (limited) info on this... IYO is it likely to happen?

I keep reading diff opinions, and cant understand half the term that are ued lol!

So, in effect if it does happen any accounts that have been closed 3 years will be removed from our files, same with defaults and active account data ie only last 36 months is viable/visable?

Gowon, enlighten us....you know ya wanna!
