Thanks for that info NID... Interesting... it seems to hit people who are "good" and reward those that aren't though.... I mean if you get a default 6 years is a hell of a long time to be very limited in what you can do....3 years on the other hand.... Likewise, as I never miss payments (well, apparently :rotfl:) I want 6 years payment history to show up not 3 :mad: Unless lenders ignore past 3 years when making decisions now? But I thought they used the whole lot of data
Mate credit performance in the EU is usually based on a rolling 12 month period from the date you apply, so if you miss a payment in January 2009 by February 2010 the entry would vanish totally..... Your theory of 3 years history will mean nothing as nobody will be able to refer to it, only the adverse will link to 3 years.
It will benefit people on here - definitely... we will not be so restricted when chosing credit, but we will be expected to pay for it via annual/monthly account fee's.2010 - year of the troll

How long should I use the card for to establish a good background?
6-12 months and then you can start to apply for prime cards.0 -
Seriously if it wasn't for NID, nearly all of us would be lost.
now i'm still trying to work out how to back out of a current account with A&L after their email said my application had been successfulShe LEFT me, she LIED, and she made me foot the BILL ! :mad:0 -
So I thought I'll just phone capital one and see how my application is coming along...... DECLINED
Now I'm really concerned that Aqua will decide that I am no longer a worthwhile credit card holder, tear up my CCA and send me it in the post with a letter saying.... "You Suck!"
AaaAaaaaAAArgh!! Stress!!:mad::mad::mad:0 -
