    Has anyone with a capital one card ever transferred a balance away from them to another card i think i read somewhere that you can't BT away from some subprime cards.The reason i ask is iv'e just got of the phone to a friend who has told me she is paying £60 per month of her balance but nearly £30 of it goes towards interest and she has a balance of £1100. I have a BT offer of 9mths 0% interest on my Lloyds cc on my online account and have a zero balance on this card. As i don't need to use this offer myself i was was hoping i could use it to help my friend out.

    So I thought I'll just phone capital one and see how my application is coming along...... DECLINED

    Now I'm really concerned that Aqua will decide that I am no longer a worthwhile credit card holder, tear up my CCA and send me it in the post with a letter saying.... "You Suck!"

    AaaAaaaaAAArgh!! Stress!!:mad::mad::mad:

    The Aqua card will be okay because they sent the CCA. I would appy again for the Capital One card in 6 months because you might get accepted because you will have 6 months credit history with Aqua to show that you are managing your acount well.

    I balance transfer from Capital One to my HSBC mastercard last month and it went through fine with no problems in about 2 days. All you need to do is call Lloyds and give them your Capital One card and they will do the rest but you will have to pay a balance transfer fee.

    I am not sure help it works if you do it for a friend.

    So should I call it quits with my Aqua card or are there any other sub prime cards I should try?:D

    Is opening a JD Williams account a good idea? I have had an account before with no problems.

    My boyfriend is tighter than two coats of paint so I know he'll not let me go on spending sprees lol:rotfl:

    I think that you should not apply for anymore credit for at least 6 months
    and just focus on managing the Aqua card well enough to show good payment history.

    I would pay in full every month if you can and sign up for their online service when you get your card.

    Be prepared for them to give you the hard sell on insurance when you phone up to set up your card but still to your guns and say no thanks.

  • I can live with that!

    So my 6 month plan, build up a file with Aqua, pay off my oli and sort out my default with littlewoods.

    Sounds so simple now lol

    Can I ask Littlewoods to remove my default once I have settled the account?

    They will just mark your default as settled and not remove it. The default will stay on your credit file for six years.However if the default was place incorrectly you may be able to get it remove. I would ask never in doubt about this when he comes back on because this is his area.
