I applied for Aqua recently online and they sent a credit agreement for me to sign.
This is my second Aqua card I closed my first one last year and both times I had to sign a credit agreement before they sent the card.

I got my pin today and the card follows.

  • Seriously though, the fact the default was 4 months away from 6 years old is why he was probably accepted though.... :D

Correct and who is this he,my name is Kelly ;)

    Regards

    Interesting point of view cocky,

  • Already done this! As i was interested in one myself, but never applied as i had an AP that only was returned to normal status 12 months ago so thought i had no chance!

Spoke with MBNA (twice, 1st person wasnt helpful lol) on 0800 068 8788. I asked what the criteria was for acceptance, was told they couldnt tell me that as it is computer generated re acceptance. I asked 'if for example i had a lete payemnt would that go against me' got told to apply and see. I also asked about defaults - said it was going to drop off on June and said i was concerned about it impacting the result (ficticious- all my dafaults have FINALLY gone whhooo!!) and was told it is highly unlikly i would be accepted with adverse credit and i should wait til June, after it drops off. He did however say if i wanted to apply today i could do, but best to leave it til after the (fictional) default comes off! It did take a lot of time ot extract the datails, as i assume (maybe wronly?) that they staff are on a commission so i got the feeling they wanted me to apply anyway

Seems Kelly was very lucky! Or maybe their default is only registered with one CRA and MBNA search teh other? I dunno!

Yes Kelly is lucky isnt she;) Like i said the default drops off shortly and it clearly hasnt mad a jot of difference to my application now has it;)

Like i said i will post the card on here for all you non doubters soon as it arrives, lets see who wil have the last laugh then,im afraid youll have to eat your words dear now wont u when u see it ;););););)
