It's the accessory card which I think tends to give lower limits than the flybe or silver cards

Ah, fair enough. I thought it was the Silver, my mistake.

My friend has an A&L account and hates it.

I'll second that - have switched to Natwest (who're often slagged on this thread) - but have to say I far prefer them to A&L, who treated me like something they'd stepped in.

Their advisors (many of who look like they're not even out of their teens) don't seem to realise that there's benefit to keeping a customer who earns £25k+, even if they have a cash account for the moment. That's not me boasting, my salary's enough for me to live on, but it certainly isn't huge.

Your all talking about Cap1 and their practice of keeping limits low and crappy limits, I've just been accepted for a Aqua Card estimated limit given as £300, just wondering what they are like for increases and time scales.

Have had a Vanquis since July last year, £250 to start, then £500 and month ago £1250, at the 50 odd %.

Wondering about limit increases with reference to closing the Vanquis shotly as odvious Aqua's APR is lower than this, but still not idea.

Thanks in advance for any help or surrgestions

  • Hi,i applied for the Aqua card on Friday night and im sure the last time i applied i got the immediate "Sorry We're unable to accept you application on this occasion" screen.

However, this time round it said:--

" Thankyou for applying for the Aqua Credit Card,we are currently processing your application and will contact you in 10 working days.Once again thankyou for your application"

What do you think this means, its not a decline ,so what is it????

Thye searched EX and its showing although theyve put it down as 8yrs 8 months on the length of time at the current address, when actually it should be 8 months, and YES thats what i put on my application :-),wonder what went wrong their.

Anyway, what do you think the screen i got after applying means ????????

    Thanks Kelly

It would've been referred then (don't know if they offer instant approval anyway), so someone will have a look into it and decide yes or no - you must've been borderline . I had the same with Capital One, they told me to clear off in May but then I was borderline in November and they took me after it was referred

I see, thanks Zack. They seem to do instant approvals at any time day or night judging by what other posters have put on here,so we will see.

What do you think about the data thing with the fact that Experian put 8yrs 8 months under the search when i know that i definitely put 8 months!!!!!!,strange or what.

Is a referal better than a straight decline do you think?????
