Can you view vanquis online already? I knew you could pay but not veiw account details?
Ah obviously not then :p I told my mate how I saw you could pay online and he said yea "full online service" so was thinking it would be like Natwest. But as I withdrew my original app due to no online service () then got rejected ( ) I can't see!

I've got my application list ready for 1st June though, just need to decide the order - but still got another 5 & 1/2 months for that :p

    England Credit Card (MBNA)
    Tesco Clubcard Credit Card (?)
JJB (Symba or whatever it is)
    Barclaycard Initial (Barclaycard themselves?)
    Vanquis

Think that's it :p Which is the best way to do it by the way (just the 5 months early to be discussing this :rotfl:) not sure whether bulk applications in one day would be best (but ending up with one I don't want so much (i.e. Vanquis/Barclaycard)) or separating them out and doing the one I want most (England) then waiting for a reply either way, then doing Tesco/JJB etc

Thats the order mate - but forget MBNA if you make all those app's - they say no to a lot of app's in a short time (as with new accounts).....

Tesco still uses RBS systems at the moment and JJB is Sygma Bank (Creation Finance) :D

Way too soon to be thinking about this - loads of things can happen in 6 months lol :rotfl:

Haha, the order I feared :rotfl:. Would the accounts open for about 7/8 months be classed as new? Although 3 of them would be a year (or thereabouts) None of that is "long-term" though :(

I think I'll do MBNA first then, that's the one I want most. If they reject me I'll appeal it, and then when I have an outcome to that (either way :p) I'll apply for the rest of them!

Haha I know it's early, but hey, I like to plan ahead :p, very far ahead :o

Thanks for the info on Tesco & JJB, none of that list would clash with the other then? But obviously the last few would have less chance because of the searches.... I want to get at least 1 of those in the summer. If I got England (especially before the World Cup :rotfl:) I'd probably stop my little application game! Either way, I don't think I'd match your 123 searches!:p

I've put which CRA they use to search, just to make it easier for you to read. From Underground's excellent thread:

    Vanquis EX
    Barclaycard Initial (Barclaycard themselves?) EQ
JJB (Symba or whatever it is) EQ
Tesco Clubcard Credit Card (?) EX, EQ
    England Credit Card (MBNA) EX

Oooh I never thought of checking that, I've seen the thread before but assumed that most would search Experian & Equifax and didn't think to check for this. Callcredit seems to be so rarely used it might as well not exist! Feel sorry for anyone that's paid £2 for their Call Credit report - they must just get a plain bit of A4 paper :p

Thanks that's really useful! So applying for England (EX) and JJB (EQ) at the same time won't damage anything in terms of my England app or the JJB app, as they won't know? And then I can go for Vanquis & Barclaycard after I get a decision one way or the other from them (so if MBNA reply first I can go for Vanquis next, if JJB are first then it's Barclaycard). That would give eventually me 2 searches on each file, and I could have a reasonable shot at those, but it means I could probably wave goodbye to Tesco until 2011 :p (No, even I'm not planning that far ahead :rotfl:).

That explains why the credit report I currently have doesn't show the stupidly high number of searches I've done recently then!

    !

Mate, everyone (almost) now reports to CC so it is wise to include them and get a statutory report every so often :D:D

Monument used to be the only lender to exclusively use them - they are no longer around lol. But that's not to say that lenders don't report to them - they do...

Can I remind you mate - for the tenth time - the MBNA England card is not that good! If you are going to apply to MBNA at least think long term and not for a one off freebie - you could make money by choosing the right card with them!

You will struggle to get accepted though, if you have lots of new accounts. I'd apply to them first but you may find they decline you for not having enough credit, however apply to the others and they may decline you due to having too many..... catch 22 and MBNA can be awkward to get an account with.

Yes, lenders report to CC, but not many search them.
Sorry I didn't include which lender reports to which. I wasn't sure when you'll apply. I think the lenders report about a month after the account is opened, is that right NID?

Not many search CC but that will change as they are winning new business and they now do all internal scoring for Lloyds (so if you bank with Lloyds and want a credit card, they will search CC as well as Experian!)....

They are being used more now though, the lenders are finally recognising them and because they are so much cheaper (around £2 per customer per account) a lot of lenders are starting to use them (along with) data from the main 2 (EX & EQ)..... :D
