Don't sign mate - they usually let you make a few orders prior to signing lol
It can never be unenforceable, but will give you more rights if something goes wrong and you refuse to pay (say you get a sofa and it rips after a week and they refuse to refund you).......
However, they will request a signed agreement one day so maybe best to just sign it lol. As for the charge, isn't that the assumed charge on a certain debt (£1,000)? If not, it will never matter to you so long as you pay on time.2010 - year of the troll

What happens with my credit limit and statement though, as I haven't had one yet? Or shall I contact them to ask if my limit is being reviewed and when I'm getting a statement/when I'm due to pay (don't want to give them any excuses to charge me!)
On this copy it doesn't assume a charge nope.
This is a copy online
http://www.jdwilliams.co.uk/shop/policies?decoration=true&finalTarget=policies_credit_summ
Other financial information Total charge for credit (interest): We will confirm this when we send you your credit agreement.
The bit is bold is to be replaced with £23.36 on my copy, but that isn't even personal (as I've had to add my name, account number etc). So I still can't work out why they've decided this should be £23!?0 -
Edited cos i'm a numpty lol

LOL, the Very website is down right now!
My credit limit is still showing as £125 (£97.50 left to spend as I spent £27.50 the other day). The HSD website is up but it's messing about and won't log me in :rotfl:0 -
I'm "Home Shopping Direct", but assume they are all the same thing?

OOOOpppps sorry you are talking JD Williams - lol, then you cannot log into very! hahaha - dunno why I thought that, even after your 2 emails hahahaha
The limit will stay the same until you order and pay some off - I have had an account for 10 months and started at £125 and its now £1000.....
They increase a lot when you make payments mate - ignore the £23 - its not charged as you think. When I had about £80 owing I got about £2 interest (service charge) added2010 - year of the troll

When I had about £80 owing I got about £2 interest (service charge) addedMust be system update time again so I'll have a look for my statement in the morning, but as far as I remember, I tried before and got "Account Balance: £27.50 - Available to spend: £97.50" and that's it. And a screen to make payment, but that doesn't say when it's due.
It's just that I don't trust Royal Mail, redirection and Christmas - something is bound to go wrong!!0 -
Your limit always goes at this time of night mate! Basically, tomorrow it will be restored and show you the true value. They do updates through the night and often round midnight it will vanish - a lot of credit places do this.
When you start using the account more it will change..... Ive still never sent back my JD agreement - 10 months in so i'll order a plasma before doing a runner (joke!):beer::beer:
They will send a statement mate - I always get mine and get them in plenty of time. If you have a £0 balance then one does not get sent. Only when you have a balance do you get a statement. You do not get the statements online, sorry - remember I was quoting Very at the time I suggested this!
With JD, the way to check when it is due is to click account transactions and see when you last paid, then make sure you pay the same time next month - the good thing with them is it instant so if you pay £10 now using debit card, it refreshes and deducts it immediately. So you can pay the day before if you want...2010 - year of the troll

Haha, good idea about the Plasma...... I know MBNA (:rotfl:) and other Credit Card providers make you sign an agreement online, pretty sure Natwest did it with me too, but can't remember doing it with JD
Haha no worries. I still have a balance (only £27.50 though), so they should be sending one soon. Shame it isn't online, like Vanquis (although they've now changed!), it's annoying as there is no excuse not to have online things nowadays! We are talking about big businesses not little corner shops afterall!0 -
Haha yea I realised that, but still can always hope they want to take it away (and with it my liability for £25!). I do Computing at Uni and even all our internal stuff vanishes after 12:30, which makes it very hard to do any work!
