Hi - taken me a while to go through all the posts from the start, but got to the end eventually!!!
I have a quick question regarding the Lloyds TSB debit cards. I read in previous posts that the ones beginning 4921 are offline cards, this is the one I have, but my 16 yr old daughter has just changed her cashcard to a visa & hers also starts with 4921 - is this right then?
Also I have recently managed to get a full current plus account with Natwest - we have been given cheque books, but the blue cards not CGC. Is there any card with Natwest that is offline, but without the CG?
Thanks:beer:0 -

Green - exactly the same as mine for my classic account.
I knew about the purple cards, do they come without CG? How long do you wait until you can ask for a purple one? I have had a step account for about 9/10 yrs now, & have just set this new account up. The account isn't actually linked to the Step one though - through a mix up when applying (well it isn't linked on my internet banking, but when I spoke to someone on the Actionline, they said they would link the accounts, so not really sure). Have just transferred all of my wages & CTC etc over & have set up a few DDs.0 -
they may do soon as all bank are getting rid of cgc cards i would ask for a purple card in 6 months time
Yes, I thought as much - give them a chance to see how the account is run before I jump in haha!!
Stilll intrigued about the Lloyds card though - we have just used it to buy something off ebay (added her card to my paypal) & it hasn't come off her balance as of yet. Bit strange if they DO give offline cards to 16 yr olds? They wouldn't charge her if she DID ever go o/d in error would they?0 -
me too itools is the best to ask no they dont charge under 18
I reminded them how it was illegal to charge Under 18s (none of the banks charge, they aren't allowed to) and eventually Customer Relations refunded the charges. To make it worse, it wasn't even my fault for going overdrawn, they authorised a payment twice!0
