  • I know that, but I believe that lenders such as Vanquis and Cap One will still accept applications from people who have had defaults in the past...

12 months or older, i was in the !!!!!! but as soon as my default hit the two year mark i got a decent credit card, well errr.................Tesco's and got a full current account again, with an OD of £500:T

Do you mean 'recorded 12 months or more ago' or 'satisfied/account paid off 12 months or more ago' mate?

How long did you wait after paying them off before applying for said cards? :)

As soon as default hit over 12 months vanquish will look into giving you a card, tesco's will probably give you one after 2 years, oh sorry did i quote wrong post?

recorded, from the date the default or ccj is logged, HSBC sunk me because i had a scandalous amount of debt, i agreed token payments, upped them since getting a job, but as soon as my default being logged had surpassed 2 years i got a Tesco's credit card.

vanquish had about 12 months after default, i sneakly got a capital one card aswell LOL

i need to stop applying for credit, i'm still not mainstream, despite getting a full bank account again lol

Yeah - I need to make sure I don't go nuts either - basically I just want a couple of cards with low credit limits to use for grocery shopping or the like (fixed cost shopping that I pay off in full every payday). Just trying to start over like everyone else :)

vanquish's rate is too high, apply to capital one, lower rate and just as flexible, wait 12months from default logged though
