Lloyds aint a patch on HSBC - the only reason I never replied is cos he made it clear it is an opinion and not fact!
Fact - HSBC beat Lloyds in every department from customer service to customer base to range and value of products to now being state owned to also having UK call centres to also offering behavioural scoring to also being better in that your debit card aint restricted to their own machines
In fact mate, I could go on for a week - but I think the point here is it is an opinion, the facts clearly prove that HSBC blow Lloyds outta the water and some more :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Their interest rates aren't all that bad. HSBC's rates are embarrassing and I probably wouldn't waste my time opening a savings account with them, 0.000001% is nothing to get excited about. :rotfl:We’ve had to remove your signature. I hate Lloyds, they reduced OH's overdraft by £1 and then charged £165 for going over overdraft limit!
Not one of their so called 'customer service' team have had a clue or been helpful at all.0 -
Hmmm I see a familar pattern evolving here....
Oh, I should maybe point out that on my unenforceability thread every other agreement is a Lloyds one and I see their letters daily, and their illegal tactics and their illegal and useless threats - but I won't go on, if you move to them then within a year you'll regret it mate......2010 - year of the troll

Welcome to the primers club - about bl00dy time as well:T
Yes I agree, you are right 99.9% of the time. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Thanks for welcoming me to the primers club, the future is looking bright lol
I must thank you and everyone on here. Your advice and past experiences have helped me to play my cards well. Would not have been the same if I hadn't found this forum.:T0 -
never-in-doubt wrote: »Just make the min payment, all will be well. If you think it matters that much then tell me why Miles has just been accepted for 2 cards yet he has no history other than a dormant Barclaycard?
Think that says it all really - the CAIS/INSIGHT data is used ONLY for assessing additional borrowing and/or managment of credit. It is NOT & never will be used in any scoring models for new application of credit!
That is spot on mate, i couldn't put it any better. How much you pay doesn't matter but you want them to report account as Up to date/satisfactory, and they will do so as long as you make minimum payment. That will fetch you the green 0s.:)0 -
I may very well be able to provide a side by side comparison to LTSB and HSBC -
I've just applied online. Are HSBC instant decision? I seem to remember last time I applied it was a straight decline - this time it did the credit check; and then came up with a page asking me to tick the boxes if I wanted a cheque book and / or debit card.
I clicked debit card then nex and it said:Thank you for your Bank Account application. We're processing your request and will contact you shortly.
In the next 2 working days we'll write to you advising if your application has been successful.
We'll include any paperwork for you to sign and return to us.
We may also ask to see additional identification and verification of your address.
I see they searched EQ and EX, my EQ is spotless but EX is up the swanny, I wonder what will happen...Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Mate most the folks on here have been with either bank for years and their comparison speaks volumes - 'glad to get away from TSB' springs up a lot lol....
I don;t know how you can even expect me to buy into a state funded bank when i'm a) anti banks and b) anti benefit claimant! The banks are as bad as benefit claimants but on a bigger scale! Before the claimants start i'm pushing 40 and worked every day since I was 12 (paper rounds etc, then milk rounds, then proper jobs!)......2010 - year of the troll

Niddy mate check my last post - I might be able to do a side by side comparison - don't know, but hopefully! Never had an HSBC appication offer me a cheque book and debit card before saying they'll write to me in 2 days; always been a "Ha! You're having a laugh, right iZools?" in the past - but it's been around a year since I last applied; so... you never knowCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Hi everyone...
I have plucked the courage to apply for Lloyds TSB duo Airmiles CC online via Airmiles.... thought they offer instant credit approval decision online, but was given a ref number at end of application stage.
I don't think Lloyds TSB do instant decisions online do they?0 -

I know mate lol, that's what i'm saying - you're speaking to ex lloyds and current hsbc and a lot of people will vouch for hsbc based on numerous factors - their internet banking is one of the best and shows pending transactions for the next day!
A side by side comparison can only be done really with experience - not just whether you get an account mate. Overall, hsbc blow lloyds out the water - opinion wise, well that is personal and not really a true reflection. Like me, I love hsbc and I admit I am biased to them, but i'll also say coventry is damn fine as well - in my opinion both are 10x better than lloyds and hsbc have screwed me over recently but still, I know they offer the best accounts for me so cannot bring myself to leave.:eek:
I am a sucker for hsbc, I hate sorting unenforceable claims for them as well - lol, I dunno why - maybe i'm loyal cos they helped me out last year when I moved to them originally.:D:D
