LMAO It was a reffer, but my EX file is trashed. I'm expecting the "Thanks, but f*** off" letter through the post any day
If it was EQ I could probably argue the toss, but not a chance with EX
If it is referred and your experian is smashed then they will probably do like me and search equifax as well...... maybe all lenders do this, if there is derogatory data on one they check the other?
Makes sense I guess..... what you think?2010 - year of the troll

Sorry to say I told you so re: BOI, but it still stands - the only credit card companies that search EQ exclusively are Sygma and Barclaycard.
I know that the only exclusive 2 are EQ/BC mate - lol, I am resident on Undergrounds thread:D I was querying BoI and as such just checked my Experian (it was April 09) and they done a full search on Experian and a follow up (soft search) at my current and 2 previous addresses plus the 20 odd incorrect links on my equifax. I remember the equifax hassle but couldn't remember who they searched - it was definitely Experian - i'm looking at it right now lol.....

never-in-doubt wrote: »No mate they don't give instant decisions and sorry, they check Experian as advised by the zools man...... I think they done unrecorded on my Equifax - as I say it was a while ago but thinking back, it was Experian they searched and they then went to Equifax and checked out the incorrect links....... maybe cos my files were a mess at the time they checked both - but yea, they searched Experian first and foremost.
Cheers for jogging my memory iZools... :rotfl:
I am sure that they ONLY checked equifax for me..... I am only looking for cards that exclusively search equifaxBank Accounts - Barlcays Premier[/B] - £1000 o/d, HSBC - £200 o/d- First Direct - £500

Thanks niddy. Regards to N-Hunter.
Given that many things have changed with my ex leaving, the income, expenditure, marital status, employment status (have more hours now) all changed - how long should I leave it to ensure I don't get N Hunter flag after flag...?
Not in a rush to apply for anythying anyway just wondering how N Hunter play...
Don't worry about N Hunter mate - they will realise all your details will change in line with status - single (as opposed to living with partner)....... thus income will drop and expenditure should increase..... they will not flag you and if they do you'd know cos everything based on Experian will be declined (hmmm, thinking about it....)
Honestly, dont worry about N Hunter too much - the flag lasts 6 years but lenders only refer to it and make a decision based on the facts. N Hunter shops them a computer copy of your last application that was loaded and the new lender will then compare it and make a decision based on the differences - in your case with both address and personal circumstances, they will spot a mile away and remove any flag....
Make sense?.... Innocent and I done this last year and I ripped into them several times and they removed all my flags (known as 'applicant refer')
It lasts for 6 years, as per CRA (they are part of Experian remember)2010 - year of the troll

I was just trying to check the BOI search but I cannot view any of my old reports on EQ now I have cancelled. I can confirm though that they 100% only searched my EQ last time....
