Oh and, as expected, those clowns at Halifax have eventually got on with it and declined me . This appeal letter is going to be fun, annoyingly it'll need some changing from the ones I've got saved though.

MBNA due to get back to me soon, can't wait!

what reason did HBOS give mate? Let me add, if you have been applying saying student then working you'll probably have an N Hunter flag - if I was you i'd be SARing N Hunter cos a marker there and forget getting stuff for a while!

They haven't yet, it says they'll write to me. But N Hunter is manual review? So if I'm applying for a student product then as long as they can verify I'm a student there shouldn't be any problem? And for this one I think I put unemployed. I def haven't gone from Student to Part-Time (although I was considering it because they're basically the same income wise), it's been between Student and Unemployed, so if I gave HBOS unemployed it shouldn't matter anyway, flag or no flag, as that's the worst option you can get? It's not like I'm saying full time to them and they're thinking hold N Hunter has flagged up he's a student/unemployed... he's trying to cheat us

I'll see what this letter says though. If I appeal and don't get anywhere I might SAR N Hunter. If I've got a N Hunter flag won't Natwest and co be falling over themselves to take away my overdraft and lower my credit limits? I might apply to get my Natwest overdraft put up (I'm allowed 1k at xmas even though I don't use it), if I've got a thing from N Hunter they'd have seen that in their monthly feed and will decline it?

Tough luck. Looks like your £3k didn't help much.

There's obviously something they saw and didn't like.. perhaps you have too many searches?? I found the ultimate reward account relatively easy to be accepted for.

Move your £3k elsewhere as they are obviously not worthy of your wealth.

Do N Hunter actually have a monthly feed? I wouldn't have thought so since they only assess applications.

Possibly, it shouldn't be too many in the last 6 months though.... will see what the letter says. It could be because I've got 2 current accounts with Natwest and 1 with A&L (that I use as a savings account but they don't know that...), I guess they want people to use the reward account as a main account if they're giving out £6+ a month, my history with them certainly doesn't indicate that they are my main bank! (balance of £0.00 99.9% of the time in the 3~ years I've had it!)
