  • O/H had instant accept in store and was given temp card and signed the agreement instore.

The OP apply online not in store so they have to wait to get either a approval email or a decline letter.

When you apply online with Agros the credit agreement is sent out in the post.

I applied for an Argos store card, does anyone know what they are like, customer service, limits etc?

Also, they advised me 7-14 days for a decision, so I called them, and they said its pending, but she cannot see the decision, due to data protection, anyone else had the same 'problem'?

    Thanks

After lurking for a while and reading advice on here I decided to apply for a Tesco CC - and was accepted with big credit limit and good interest rate. I'm stunned!

I've been subprime for many years due to defaults which are now all settled (last one a few days ago - so will still probably be on credit file). I have CC with Vanquis and Cap1 (limits £2000 and £200).

Is this likely to be a mistake? They said that I will receive card within next week or so. I'm wondering if they might have approved me without checking my credit rating first - that would be odd though. My credit rating isn't too bad though after making efforts to pay things off.

Does anyone have any experience with Tesco who could advise me?

I hope you're all having a great start to the new year. I'm off to renew my gym membership (last time I went was 5 years ago, when I was 14 :rotfl:). It's quite expensive at £48 a month, but it's a really nice place and there aren't hundreds of children running around.

My new years resolution is to get to 10 stone this year. I'm currently 13 stone (and 5 ft 7, making me nearly obese I believe)... :p

Tesco is still processed and underwritten by RBS so it will pass to AVU (application verification unit) and they will have the final say so its not guaranteed until you get the card! I had the same and each time, I get a decline letter from AVU when I expect the agreement!

Hate em lol - Good Luck though, you may well have been accepted. kepp us posted please? :D

I was automatically accepted for the Tesco credit card but my application was later declined. After appealing, I finally got it.

RBS AVU sounds horrible! I'll definitely steer clear of them for the time being!
