i have recieved my speakers from being price matched with currys

i can confirm the currys is the newer model ending with a p so it docks with an i phone

i think it depends on who you get served by on the phone in currys

I am happy though with the speakers

Not impressed with Tesco at the moment.
I asked them to email me when it was back in stock - but so far no email at all, despite posters on here clearly showing they have had some stock in.

Then on re-checking the Tesco site ( do it about 6 times a day) it was suddenly in stock, but as LauraJayne found, I was unable to checkout because it said it didn't have stock.

This went on for about 30 minutes with the web site clearly showing stock, but then not allowing you to actually buy it.

So, brain wave, phoned Currys for the infamous price match. Got passed 2 hurdles, he found item on Tesco site, price was a lot cheaper, and it showed as in stock. Shocked at how much they would have to let me have it for ( Price match plus 10% of the difference) he went back several times to ask his manager.

But would Currys come through with their price promise....
No, because Tesco's wouldn't let them progress to the checkout either !!!:mad:

Just got in from work to read all these posts about there having been some stock today....did Tesco send me an email.....Of course not !!:mad:

I too had requested the back in stock email only to find each day i had an email saying it was back in stock ,then after going to the page to find it again sold out .

So today i requested an email again & thought i would check the item again by refreshing & it was available & couldn't believe my luck ,so not only check your email ,also check the item if you can .

I find with Tesco's that they often send out emails before they've actually updated their website, but if you've already had it in your basket and it has been put in saved for later because it went oos before you managed to check out, it will allow you to put it back & checkout from there, even though the main site is still reading oos.

If not, you'll need to keep going back & refreshing until they update.
