Felt exactly the same the other night when I had it in my basket but wanted to ask hubby if he could collect for me. By the time I had it sorted it had gone out of stock.
I used the email me link...as it said temporarily out of stock. Imagine my amazement when I found an instock email in my inbox this morning, only 4 days later, and at the same price too! It may be worth a shot.

I bought this from Tesco's before it was on offer so didn't manage to get the best deal but I can confirm it does charge the Iphone and the Ipod Touch 2G. My partner charges her phone on it all the time and I charge my Ipod touch. It only charges when plugged in and disables the charging circuit when running on batteries.

I've gone as far as to check model numbers on the Currys vs Tesco models and the Tesco one is certainly older.

In terms of features you don't seem to lose anything however it isn't a like for like so you'll be hard pressed to get Currys to price match, especially considering the big gap in price.

Tesco also have the JBL Radial Micro for £67.97 it is £99+ in Comet. I heard this in Comet the other day and it sounded really good so have bought daughter one for Christmas.
