  • I think it's an excuse. I have compared the 2 and it seems to be exactly the same, they are both the 3rd model

I'd try them again, maybe go in to store with a picture?

Looking on the JBL site there are various versions of the OnStage3 so they may have a point.

    Hmm...I see what you mean
  • Damn you people move fast!

"Sorry, we could not place your order as one or more items have now gone out of stock
We have therefore removed the items listed below from your basket:
    • JBL OnStage3 iPod Speaker Black"
Luckily the black was for someone else and I was after 2 x White ones!! Ordered for collection at the Tesco round the corner after 4pm on Friday :T
  • I can't believe how quick the delivery is! Says I can collect mine tomorrow :D
  • I have an older model of this (Onstage II), which works great with the iPhone 3GS & 2G Touch, including charging them

When connecting the iPhone, a message appears asking if you want to use in airplane mode. If you choose 'no', you will still receive calls & be able to use internet etc, but may experience some static/buzzing sounds
This is overcome by choosing 'yes' (but then calls/internet are disabled)

For it's size, the sound quality is fantastic and can go pretty loud, it takes up hardly any room and the price is unbeatable

I have ordered this as it's such a fab price & my son will be thrilled with our old one ;)

    Hope that helps

Just to let you know Currys price match team told me that it's a different model so wouldn;t do it.

Apparently the one at tesco doesn;t charge and doesn;t take the iphone ?
oh gosh do you charge it then with charger you get on your ipod then ?

So am I right in thinking the Tesco one is the 3 model, and currys is the 3p?

and on the description it says it does charge.....
    2007 £1749
    2008 £291.99
    2009 JanMasscara £7.00 Feb megcabot books x 2 £20 XFactor tkts x 2 £58.00 (couldn't go though as they only phoned on day :-( ) foundation £7.99
total so far for 09 £92.99
  • Thanks for this! I've ordered a white one for my daughter - Ipod speakers were on her Christmas list, and these look great!

Had a great money saving day today! switched from AOL now our broadband contract is up - gone to 02 and reduced our premium from £24.99 a month (ouch!) to around £7.50 ( the first premium was very high cos we were still in contract for the old laptop deal, and the O2 premium is very low cos we're O2 customers so it's a bit cheaper than normal) - Also the first three months are free so it's actually more like £5.50 a month...the cherry on the cake is £75.00 cashback doing it through topcashback - bargain, eh?
  • Thanks to original poster, but missed on this..

very tempted to buy a black one for myself , thought I would in half an hr after the meeting by then it is out of stock :(

seen one of the posts saying currys price match, went to dixons near the office and they didnt agree saying its a old model which they sold for £15 previously :(

Congracts to all those who are able to get one looks impressive especially got a remote .. Baah wish I got mine
