hi all. And welcome Essexhoney. Please don't feel alone here. We are all friends and will always be here to listen and support you. x

Whereabouts are you living? Some of are trying to organise a get together at Lakeside if you could make it?

Day has been very tough at work today. Knee is still killing me, have found its easier to walk/hop with my leg bent which has got me lots of funny looks.
One of my staff seems intent on making my life misery. She's walking round witha face like thunder. I pulled her in the office today to see if she's ok and she said she was peed off with work.

I asked her why, she just said it doesnt matter and started crying. Spent half hour with her but she still wont tell me whats wrong and just keeps telling me to forget she said anything. She didnt tell me anything so how can i forget it?

I consider myself an easy going boss, and one that people can talk to. Everyone trusts and confides in me so i just dont know what could possibly be wrong.

Anyway thats my rant for the day.

Will come back on later. Chin up Essex Honey x

Hi cantcope im in Southend so not far from Lakeside :) Would be good to meet some people! Hope your knee feels better soon :(

Starlite im 36+5 today, how far gone are you? The baby has started moving about a lot more in the past hour or so im just praying she carries on so i dont have to go up to the hospital. Have managed to keep about a pint of water down today not a lot i know but more than i have managed over the past week or so and even managed to keep a little bit of lunch down too!

So on that side of things im feeling a little better, this pregnancy has been so stressful since day 1 i just wish i could be able to enjoy it without having to worry but if we carry on like this its not going to happen :(

  • Big welcome to Essex Honey = I'm waving hello from Basildon :j . I hope bubs is OK - I didnt feel much like moving around today in this heat maybe it sent baby to sleep.

CC - I'm sure your member of staff will open up eventually, crying in front of you will have broken down some of her barriers so it might be easier for her in a day or 2. Have a chat with her on Friday, I know I feel more inclined to speak out on Fridays cos otherwise I would brood on my problems all weekend. Its worth a shot with her

Good news from me, made a few decisions today. Firstly I am going to get a cleaner, trying to work, play with DS and keep the place clean and tidy is just impossible on my hours and next year will be harder than now, I'm not exactly on a full timetable at the moment (1 or 2 lessons a day}. Next year back on about 4 free periods a week as I lose some to do primary liason lessons with 2 of our feeder schools.

Secondly Mum said this morning "why don't we go on a cruise" (she loves cruising) We havent considered it before because hubby and her do not holiday well together, hell hubby and me didn't holiday well together! Later I did a search for short cruises in August and phoned mum and told her what I'd found - result is 7 nights on QE2 visiting Norway and Amsterday! I'm so excited:j :T DS is too because he is going on the "Big boat" from the "docks" with "Mum, Dear and Mummy Dog" and there will be a "pool on board" and a "nursery"!:rotfl:

Only downer is OH (as per usual) when I got home he was at pub with DS. He brought DS home and was very sullen wiht me, I could see he was down and he mentioned he would be getting !!!!!! all weekend soon cos he would be 39. Sent him a text later telling him I saw he was down and I was here for him. I can't help but worry as he tried to kill himself last year and no matter what goes on between us he is still Daddy to my precious boy.

I will text him in the morning to see he's OK.
