How easy is it to do a roll call of our gang ? I'd be happy to do a spreadsheet or something I people PM'd their details. Might be more people living close to each other who would like to meet.

I know this sounds really pathetic but I realise that when I got married I threw myself into the realtionship and as many people do lost track of friends etc. Now my marriage is really rocky and I realise I really need some girlie friends to chat to. I was thinking of the classifieds or chat rooms but I have no idea what to do and am a little scared of who I might be chatting to or meeting. Has anyone tried any or can anyone recommend any that are safe?
    Thanks
Last yr I seperated from a 16 yr marriage and fell in love with who i thought was a wonderful guy, we have recently parted with a lot of hurt. i have now found myself on my own, my 15 yr old son is growing up and does not what to sit with his mum in a pub, this would do his street cred no good at all!. My friends are all in relationships or married with young children, so what do I do?

Its not really a man I am looking for its company, of which can be from both sexes. I'm 37 yrs old and relatively good looking (or so I have been told by my very caring sister), but how can i get out and meet people. I'm not a big drinker but do enjoy socialising, I have a gsoh, very caring and loving so why am I finding this whole experience so daunting!!

I would appreciate any help or friendship anyone could give me.

    Starting Again.
    xx

Lots of posts on here today. I've had my friend round all day which has been lovely, we've chatted, made cakes and she generally lifted my mood a little.

Still really missing my ex, its 6 weeks today :(

Gonna tuck myself up in bed and watch an officer and a gentleman tonight.
Hope everyone has had a good day. Really like the idea of doing a sheet of where everyone is. Maybe someone is just around the corner from me....

  • Can I join in this friendly thread too. When reading Wannabee's original thread I wondered if I'd written it in my sleep. Reading on we have even more in common - I am a teacher too. Also desperately lonely, marriage is on the rocks, hubby is living at his mothers and still spending money he doesn't have on beer and fruit machines. I am home with a toddler, and I have trouble connecting with him (love him loads but just don't seem to be remotely todder orientated). I have no-one to talk to, no r/w friends and I often pop onto the forums to see what people are chatting about just to feel like I have people around me.

This really is a great friendly place and I love to be here. I would also like to have some friends who I could just go for coffee with sometimes but sadly I usually do that alone. I spend a fair bit of time with my mum but I don't talk to her about personal stuff, havn't yet told her hubby has gone.

Ok - I propose that we all submit some basic data for a masterlist of members which I will either post in here or host outside of MSE on somewhere like myspace.

What do we want to know about each other ??

    Username
    Real Christian Name
    Age
Location - should this be nearest large town or the county ?
    Marital Status
    Children

    Just suggestions .....
