I want to say a huge thanks to everyone on this thread. The care and advice everyone has is great. I have felt so much better and a lot less lonely. It really does show that there are people out there. I just wish some of you lived nearer to me.
I do feel like I have mates. I want to know how you all are, I genuinely care and I think many of us have got advice through different life sagas sorry stories!!
This thread beats the hell out of Eastenders!
You have all made me laugh and cry.
    Thanks all
I look forward to rreading all about your escapades after the weekend.
I don't dare go on over the weekend. I don't want OH to get wind of this.Things are still not good.
As for bravery I am looking into booking up a weekend in a holistic centre, I really want to learn how to meditate, de stress (fed up not sleeping/ headaches etc) and find a bit of inner peace. Will let you know what I find.
Sending out lots of love to all, hugs and squishes.
    Hope your weekends have positives
would put on a piccie but I am rubbish and don't know how to - sorry
    Imagine a sunshine and rainbow
    xx

Hi wannabe - thanks for starting such an inspirational thread :)

I'm so sorry things aren't working out for your and your OH - I know how hard that is, keeping you in my thoughts.

That sounds like a great idea booking yourself a weekend out, very soul cleansing. I'm glad you are putting yourself first.

I echo your sentiments about this amazing thread, I feel better.

    Take care this weekend

Thanks mushy the same to you
I really do feel so much braver now, I just hope i do go through with it.You are right we all need to put ourselves first.
Mind you I say this and then still make sure he is ok no matter how much he hurt me - like many others.
I guess I have maternal instincts - sorry but he can be so childish and ungrateful most of the time it is like being with a child. Like most of you I tell him how I feel but he poo hoos it and ignores me.
I am an elephant though and I never forget (no not because I have a wrinkly grey bum!!!)
    He is definitely a goldfish.
    Take care

we must learn to put ourselves first too sometimes, if we dont respect ourselves and feel we are important too then no one else will

Yeah ! Three cheers for wannabe for her OP - hip hip horray , hip hip horray, hip hip horray. Hope you decide what is ultimately best for you - maybe OH needs a short sharp shock to take you seriously !

You guys have made such difference this last week - I feel all gooey about it.:j

Hugs to Urbs - I know how awful it can be when work is making you feel like cr*p - I had to get out of current job before they ground me down and ruined my confidence.

Well I wasn't abducted by my new 'friend' from gumtree - had lunch and chatted like old mates for 3 hours non stop ! Thanks to Miss London for suggesting it x She asked me to join her and two others tonight but I am up early tomorrow to head to parents so said couldn't - but we are probably meeting to watch footie on sunday.

I think if people were really honest that the majority feel lonely - in my little office we discussed this yesterday and everyone said they wished they had more friends.

Lets start a friendship revolution x

I so agree with this comment - I went to relate last year and my counsellor said that leaving my relationship would be the single most important thing I could do for ME - Have always put other people first to my own detriment often physically and always emotionally. It only took me 8 months but I got there in the end !

Ooh, ukbadger, i'm so glad the meet up went well :) You brave thing.

I've just been cleaning the kitchen (FL challenge keeping me inspired) and thinking about my recent ex. I still can't believe that someone could take, take and take so much in a relationship and not give back. It's bad, isn't it? Still, as you said wannabe, it doesn't stop us caring. I just wish I hadn't opened myself up so much to someone who ultimately hurt me. I shouldn't be so trusting.

Thanks for the group hug messy, and twink you are right, we must try to learn to put ourselves first. I find it hard though, after always putting others first for so long. Not sure what I want!!
