Hello all :hello:
It is so lovely to catch up with how everyone is - thanks wannabe for starting the thread...looking forward to meeing up and finding out about your belly dancing!I could never do that, my belly needs to stay stuffed inside of my jeans, very much better off for being hidden from the world
Urban spirit - good luck at work today, a stressful workplace can be awful. I've been off work for 6 weeks now due to an operation to solve a work-related illness. Going back on Monday and I am completely dreading it..my line manager/friend has sorted it out so my new job is double the workload. I wasn't coping before (panic attacks, sleepless nights, working w/e and evenings). Have to get my job application in today for my job - do I also apply for my line managers? You'll have to all keep your fingers crossed for me as I've applied for another job elsewhere
If you are having a pants day wannabe I hope 1535 comes around soon
ukbadger - good luck with the meet-up, let us know how it goes. You are v. brave leaving work, that is what I want to do...but was also trying to buy a house until it fell though on Friday (second one to fall through, just as exchanging). My plan had been to buy house (with good salary) then leave job as I'm sure I can earn enough without working at the same place. Now I'm stuck at work until I find another job or house - which ever comes along quicker! However, now I'm not sure where I want to live....oh how come decision making is so hard? :rotfl:
careful girl - I'm not very good at spending money on myself, feel too guilty!! This week I've managed to lose an item of clothing that was a 'label' I had treated myself to....typical! Normally I feel much more comfortable shopping in Matalan or (when I visit) Primark. I just don't like spending a lot on clothes, trust me to lose my only expensive item!
miroslav - we all like you
whatamess - good luck with your productive day
Cousin just phoned, sounds like he needs a hug so I'd better go and get the kettle on.
Speak to you all later - have positive days.

All gone horribly wrong. Union rang, said its bureaucracy gone mad. Cos I havent written down the name/address of office they said they were looking to place me, then they cant place me there! Didnt know that there had been internal changes so this was the office I needed to name.
But they didnt tell me this, the last conversation with them they said theyd look at it. Instead they contacted the horrible office to place me there.
Have said this to union - what they do is argue with me to try and change my mind and go with management decision. Have said I would prefer to go back to other office that was named - he said I could then sue the company for placing me in office that would make health worse. The horrible office would make health worse so it applies ther too, plus i've been verbally and physically threatened at the horrible office so MUCH worse.
Union just want me to take horrible office job-easier for them. Rock and a hard place. Dont know what to do.
Sorry guys, didnt mean to p on all this nice energy. I am so stressed by it all and so tired of fighting them. Wish I knew a little temp job so I could resign. Okay. Thinking about resigning anyway.
Much love guys xx
(ps - union off for next 2 weeks, which always happens when fighting needs to be done)

Thanks Philippa XXX
I'm sitting here by myself cracking up. I'm usually a positive and upbeat person. Once work get involved I get so upset.
This is a blip in the path of life. Its like hell when youre in it though, it will pass. All the support from my lovely friends on this thread makes me feel i'm not fighting it alone.
Thank you, you fluffy creatures! XXX

Urban Spirit, so sorry to hear all that, I had just been hoping that being in contact with the union this morning was going to turn out to be a positive thing. Employers are so hard to fight, even when you have a good case it often feels like the big guy always wins...
take care0 -
keep your chin up dont give them the satisfaction of affecting your health they are not worth it, your not alone, we are all with you
mushy peas fingers crossed for you that things wont be as bad as you think0 -
Hi,
Can i join in this thread? I have a few close friends but they ALL have partners/husbands. Not sure where i've gone wrong. I'm 31 and recently single AGAIN. Never been married. no kids. i mustbe such a nightmare to be with coz all the guys run a mile lol.
Anyway, I feel so lonely sometimes when my mates are off with their respective o/h's and i'm sat indoors all alone. Then i get the emails monday morning asking how my weekend was and how great theirs was.
Glad to see I'm not the only lonely. Just reading this thread has made me smile xLast bet : 26th Oct 2006:j Debt free 25th Feb 2008:j Living "my" dream:T0 -

Hi Cantcope  !!
You are definately not the only lonely person out there!! I have to admit that its got to be the worst feeling in the world!! But anway, thats why its great to have the people on here to chat to!
Sorry to hear about the boyfriend trouble - is it a recent split? I cant advise you on that as I am in the same position, not newly single, but having been single for Y-E-A-R-S and it gets me down too!! I am sure you are not a nightmare, you probably just havent met the right one yet - sometimes you could be right for each other, but the timing is wrong. I truly believe this!!
Work is stressing me out today, far too much to do & I am craving a drink (which is wrong!!) and working tomorrow (a 2nd job) so its not as though I have a long weekend to relax to look forward to!!
I hope you all enjoy your weekends.
