I knew you would know about phones Mc. I hate them. I hate it when people phone me when I am doing something else. I find it can be very moneywasting. My friend phones her oh about 6 times a day. I rarely speak to my OH!!!!!!!!! Na just if I want to get in touch I will phone someone when they are at home unless of course meeting up with people.
    CG.
i love phones lol - have about 8 sitting here :p from my very first one to ma last one nokia 6610i :p

thanks mc, your very good with info. :D

its a nokia 5140, lovely phone, it hasnt really had any bangs recently though i am sure i have dropped it in the time i have had it as had it for about a year, have been lookin on ebay and they seem quite expensive, some reaching 40 pounds, i got mine new for bot 60.

im not sure if i am charging the battery full, wont even let me try and charge it now though, just a shame as it a nice phone.

had another nokia phone old brick type thing, and thats lasted bot 5 years, (am using this 1 at the mo)but this recent one has barely lasted a year, its been faulty for months.

my phone is how everyone gets in touch with me, my social, work and everyone else, lol., it is always kept on just incase anyone needs anything.

nice photographs mc, where are they off, do you just use still cameras, i have a 35mm slr camera, and when i have the money going to buy a 6x7.

CG me just having bad time at mo. just got this guy on me back who bit freaky. and it scaring me a little.
    xx
the pics are from the fringe. i use DSLR cameras more than any others.

as ofr the phones - £60 is cheap (in my opinion) for a decent nokia.

i LOVE horses! im straight anaw LOL!

as for year 10 :p - i would if i could - if ya were nearer :p lol - few tips for them though

Have fun - its all about enjoying the experiance

Its not the camera, its the person. means that the person behind the camera is the person who is doing the work.

you will never get the same image twice - no matter what you do, if you have 10 cameras next to each other, each image will be unique - different angles, etc...

Enjoy yourself - did i say this before? you need to enjoy it and have fun

keep the camera steady - number 1 rule, obvious but hard to do in some conditions. if its windy example. Ideal situ would be to use a monopod or tripod. If you cant use mono / tri then stand with your elbows tucked in to your chest and arms rigid, one foot slightly infront of hte other. this way, you are less likly to move.

Keep your eye open to wahts happening around you - you might see a nice pic infront but you might miss a crash next to you...

dont worry about what you do - alot of people worry about getting the picture good - dont.

have fun - im sure ive said this before.... this is the most important rule you can use - its not about the image (unless you are goign to sell it) you dont have to worry about anything, just have fun clicking.

equipment does not matter - to a degree this is true - if you havea point and shoot, verses a dslr then the slr will win but P&S to P&S - the outcome of the image wont be that much different, its down to tecnique.

Remember - if you take your pic, and you get back to the pc and its not good - dont worry, you can always fix it with pp (post processing) using some software (i use photoshop CS2) but there are loads of free pp tools out there - unless you have photoshop (can cost £750)

Glass - If you have a DSLR, the body does not matter - glass (lens) does

Have fun - have i said this before? im possitive i have......

Take more shots - if you have taken 2 shots of an item, take more... you never get the same shot no matter what you do. I take about 4 or 5 shots of the same item. Why? well if i have a blurred shot or if i have a person with her eyes closed, then half open, then open, on the 3rd shot, eyes are open so i am more likley to use this than i am to use the 1st shot.

Dont worry about what the other person is doing, concentrate on your own camera, in your own eyepiece and what YOU are taking YOUR shot of. Your work is different from your partners.

and have fun - ok, im possive ive said this before, but its the most important rule in photography.

Glass = lens (the main part of the camera, the part at the front)
Body = this is the big thing your lens is on and where the buttons are
P&S = Point and shoot - this is a small compact camera (cost between £30 and several hundred)
DSLR = Digital Single Reflex Lens - This is more professional level (cheap dslr is £400 plus costs of glass - can range in to several thousands to tens of thousands - i piece of glass can cost £5,000)
PP = Post Processing - this is where you take your image in photoshop or that and edit it, you can sharpen it, blur it, give it a new look etc...

I currently use Nikon D50 but i am going to get a Nikon D200 soon - with a 80-400VR glass which will make my images even better :p

i taught a group of year 9 how to take photographs and think creatively about what they were taking, was a good project but hard.

wow mc, good shot of the moon, that can be hard to take will have to put some of my pics on.

hi whatamess, is that named after the famous book?
