Freeze some of the milk, make ready to bake yorkshire pud batter and freeze it. Make smoothies and freeze them. Invite the neighbourhood cats?

Milky coffee and or a lovely cup of milky cocoa before bed.

Ooh yeah. When I was little, I had an aunt who used to make coffee with just milk. It was really nice.

You could maybe make things like macaroni cheese, or anything with a white sauce. If you've got any spare meat and veg (like chicken or fish) you could make some batches of pie filling up, like for fisherman's pie or chicken and leek. Or creamed leeks (sauteed leeks mixed into white sauce) are yummy, and they freeze really well in portions.

Proper ragu sauce (for bolognaise etc) often uses milk so you could maybe make some of that and use it up there?

Beki, I agree with Pink-Winged about your neighbours. I'm sure they'll be fine about being asked. If it were me I'd laugh and gratefully accept a carton. Actually I might offer to store it in my freezer for you;)

I think your OH sounds really sweet - he was trying to help with the tight budget and maybe got a bit over excited.
I'd be right proud of him if I was you. ;)
