hayfever sufferers should BOGOF

Wilkinsons have Galpharm Hayfever & allergy relief one a day tablets on offer @69p per pack. Bought 6 and till showed up BOGOF so 1 weeks worth of tablets 35p! Not been able to get back to get some more - this could be a good summer!

Great. Unbelievably Boots are doing bogof on these generic tablets too but at £2.69...:eek:

These are actually very good tablets - Highly Recommended! Better than those EXPENSIVE clatityn or whatever!!!!!!!

In fact all antihistomine tablets are either loratadine or certrizine based. I would advise all hayfever or allergy sufferers to try both as one type will be more affective than the other. The good news is that galpharm make both types and can be bought in all supermarkets for around £1 per packet. They are also good because they are essentially the exact same tablet as benadril/clarityn etc.

When you next go shopping for these tablets try a packet of each type to see what ones have the best results for you.

True- if clarityn works for you it is Loratidine you need. Also when you work out the price and inconvenience of getting a prescription for these it is as easy to buy them yourself.

Allow me to recommend Flixonase (e.g. http://www.mypharmacy.co.uk/medicines/medicines/f/flixonase_allergy/flixonase_allergy_nasal_spray.htm). More effective for me than antihistamines, works instantly and no undesired effects such as drowsiness. I think it costs about £7 a bottle, but should last for several weeks. Worth a go anyway if you're a sufferer...

This may be good for hayfever, but alas no good for me as a food allergy sufferer. It only works for air born allergies.

both my girls suffer from hayfever,one more than the other ,.,,,,,,but the youngest one i have to swap every 6 months from of the tablets to the other.but they get theirs on prescription.but i do take them myself and use asda's own make,99p for one kind and 89p for the other..

Just out of interest - anyone know which pollen might be causing hayfever at the moment. My daughter usually only suffers in the summer (grass pollen) but this year she's suffering like crazy - think it's too early for grass (unless another result of global warming!)

I can recommend Beconase - works for me, similar indeed to flixonase I'm sure.
