Police Parking Ticket Doesn't Seem Fair

  • You can't complain because clearly if someone felt the need to do that, they were either trying to stop you from losing your wing mirror, or trying to prevent someone else from damaging their car because of your pathetically bad parking.

He can make a complaint if he has evidence of damage to his car. However as I said earlier who are they?

Not so much a question of bad parking. More an example of abandonment. Like others on this forum, I find it hard to believe that anyone is so arrogant as to think they were doing nothing wrong. Mind you, it is nice to be in line with the majority of posters for once. It would not have occurred to me to park there in a million years. However, it is apparent that we are all in the wrong as far the Wally of an op is concerned. I sense that the majority are not going to win this one.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

Fair play for having a go back.

    But you're still wrong.

I'm not one of those people, I have friends that are and they are annoying as hell sometimes. All I wanted to do was get you to understand or even just acknoledge why I think it should have been ok to park there and not pay this fine. Yet you still wont.

It's because we all know that you're wrong. What part of do not park within 10 metres of a junction do you not understand?

He keeps on saying the wing mirror was folded in towards the car. That sounds perfectly normal to me. They are supposed to do that!

They aren't supposed to be folded the other way, as if a car had clipped it.

Not sure either how a wing mirror folded in is evidence of damage either... This person's having a laugh.

Next the OP is going to tell us he's studying Law at Loughborough.

Which basically forces us to park in places like I did.

As the parking at the uni is so bad, why don't you just use the bus service they have for students?

The university campus is served by the 'Sprint' bus which runs from the railway station via the town centre to the engineering end of campus, stopping at various places on campus along the way. During term time, buses run every 10 minutes Monday to Friday but less frequently at the weekend. The bus costs £1.20 to the town centre, and £1.50 to the train station. Return tickets are not available, although you can get a card for 10 journeys which gives you a saving. The journey is timetabled to take 10 minutes between campus and town and 20 minutes to the station although the bus can often get delayed in traffic. Bus stops on this route are located at Mechanical Engineering, Pilkington Library, The Food Box (estates services yard), Haslegrave building, Students' Union, Loughborough College.
Other bus routes which run near the university include the number 4 "Shepshed Sprinter" which stops on Ashby Road near the Students' Union and Engineering and Arriva's 127 service which stops on Blackbrook Road.

RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

  • I'm discusted by this horrific parking . This is the most appaling this scince Gary Glitter. The OP should be dragged from his "parked" car and shot in the nut before being put back in to be crushed with his car. He is ruining the lives of road users all around him, putting the lives of children (WON'T SOMBODY PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!!!!!) at risk not to mention the lives of war veterans and every day upstaning citizens!!
I can't belive that idiot didn't think this could cause a problem.
What if a British Spy tryed to pull out of that junction an couldn't resulting in a suspect getting away with our nuclear secrets causeing world war 3 or maybe even the end of the world. not to mention the wasted police time spent isuing the ticket to this dispicable low life scum:mad:
