I've just swapped my old Technosonic PVR101 for one of the Tevion 801s and I'm having problems with the RGB signal!
I've got a straightforward connection with the SCART (TV Out) on the PVR going into my TV, and I've selected RGB mode in the Configuration Menu, but I get a blank screen with sound only.
If I change to CVBS mode (instead of RGB) I can get a picture, but this is "washed out" and much dimmer than the usual output I had with the old Techno101. I've tried using the STB-Output SCART socket on the Tevion 801, but this gives the same degraded picture.
At first I thought I had a "dodgy" 801 box, but I've changed it for another and I have the same problem with this one. The funny thing is that if I go back to the Techno-101, using the same SCART lead and same TV-Out socket, I get a normal bright RGB picture without any problems.

After a lot of playing around, I've found that if I "jiggle" the actual SCART connection at both the Tevion 801 end, and the TV side, I can now get a RGB signal by slightly pulling out the socket so it's not all the way in. However, this is very tempremental, and tends to scroll/disappear every now and then - which isn't surprising as both SCART connections are not pushed firmly in and will be liable to move of their own accord.
This isn't very satisfactory as a long term fix - has anyone else come across this !?! Would a new SCART cable be the answer (I have had this problem with the existing one I had with the Techno-101 and the new one that came with the Tevion 801 also).0 -

Jaxer,
Maybe it's a case of changing the SCART cable for a better quality one. Most bundled cables are of the quality you'd get from the pound shops! - This one being of no exception.
