Surely they wouldn't have just loaded 1.6 on and re-cased the returns....
Still they get a 3 year warranty.
The upside is it should mean future updates.
Now don't you folks go getting ideas about taking the PVR101's as faulty and swapping for the Tevion. you know it'll be the same....0 -
I've been thinking about this rather than getting a second Sky+ box.
Other options are:
Umax Yamada Twin Tuner Freeview Box with 160GB HDD £149.99
http://svp.co.uk/products-solo.php?pid=1376
or
Humax 160GB PVR PVR-9200T £189
http://www.cwdigital.co.uk/pvr_9200t.asp
Any advice?

Is 8ogb big enough, I mean how much space would say a half hour program take up.
Twin tuner - does that mean you can watch one channel and record another?0 -
Will this record from other inputs - ie a satellite reciever or camcorder?0

Have a look at http://forum.digitalspy.co.uk/board/forumdisplay.php?f=90 and http://www.emsee.co.uk/pvr/
I've got a Humax myself, had it since November last year and I'm very impressed with it. Also with the latest firmware you get chaseplay, which before (or lack of it) was a big issue for a lot of people. Only problem is that I'm watching loads more telly now than I ever did before! No reliance should be placed on the above.0 -

BBC channels are about 2 to 2.5 gig per hour, other channels between 1 and 1.5. My Humax has a 160 gig disk, which is supposed to take up to 100 hours.
Yes, with twin tuners you can watch one channel and record another, or record 2 at the same time (well, mine does anyway). No reliance should be placed on the above.0 -
this one looks good - but is there such a thing as a pvr with a top-up tv slot? I don't think I could live without Eurosport!0
