Hello all,
My first test for all of you that can edit your internet explorer settings can you do the following.
In internet explorer goto Tools ->Internet Options...
Now click on the Advanced Tab and scroll down to HTTP 1.1 settings. Does you settings say "Use Http 1.1-OFF" as shown in picture:
If so can you tick the box and it should look as follows
Close internet explorer and reload and hopefully if you had to change it - the page will be fixed. If your setting was right to begin with i'm still hunting for other options.
Thanks

Hi Neil, my HTTP1.1 box is already ticked, both at work (ie6) and at home (ie5.5). Sorry0 -
Interesting; it had:
√ Use HTTP1.1
□ Use HTTP1.1 through proxy connections
I switched it on for proxy connections (ie Onspeed) as well; I'll let you know how it goes0 -

I can improve it by switching the proxy off and on, but presumably people can't do that at work0 -
Thanks Guys,
I expected most people to have this switched correctly to be honest, just hoped some might not. Will continue the investigation.

Have reinstalled XP after an attack, and also Tiscali Accelerator, which was on the blink.
Am working now without this site in an exclusion list.
OK so far, will tick 'HTTP proxy connection' if I do hit trouble.0 -
I was getting this both at work (iE6, XP, via proxy\firewall) and at home (IE7, XP, NTL\Virgin's proxy) but ticking HTTP 1.1 through Proxy has fixed it.
Hooray!
I guess a lot of people wouldn't be aware that their ISP is using proxy servers to manage traffic flow- I know NTL and anything using their network (Virgin & Blueyonder) do, maybe others do as well0 -
Neil,
Have you done something, because it finally seems to be working fine now. No errors and drop down menus all tickety boo and smilies working great.
Well Done. :T0 -
Obviously not too many users suffering then, or do some simply just wonder why the Thanks button etc. never works for them?
:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
