  • I feel like I may have missplaced a few months! Where has all the time gone?
I am no further forward but I have handed out and posted the save the date cards. I bought calico to try out my wedding dress pattern before I commit to doing it for real. I have chosen the colour from the two colours of material I brought back from SA, and I have found my shoes and bag in the wardrobe so no expense there.

I have seen the shoes for the men and they all seem to like them. I will start making different wedding cakes next week to try out flavours. The favours will be ordered soon - found a fantastic place who have stock of the huggies salt and pepper shakers and they gave me a 20% discount on quantity - so big bonus.

Awaiting some beadwork to be finished in SA and will use that in the invitations early Jan... Church booked, back garden sorted. Just really food and drink to sort. I will start to stock pile bubbly when it is on special and soft drinks.

I am quite relaxed but may need to document a plan or two! Still outstanding big time is buttons! I need 10 9mm vintage (1957 or thereabouts) glass buttons either in clear or teal! grrrr

I am probably going to suggest to the girls to have the hen night locally (spa day) rather than the planned trip abroad to keep costs down!
Well lets see - I dip in and out of MSE all the time but I still come back - have done since 2007!!!

  • hi all!!

So glad that I can post some good news here. OH proposed 31st August and as we've been together 5 years decided not to wait and set date for 5th June....and have JUST secured a venue today!! I was getting really worried as everywhere was booked, I thought I'd have to put it back, but so pleased as the venue is only 5 mins walk from church.

Got a meeting with the caterer on Monday so hopefully that will all be sorted, then it's on to the fun things!
