Hi - you're obviously going through a very difficult time with your little boy and you really have my sympathy - one observation, when you were saying that he doesn't just see a car, he sees the engine and all the component parts, which shows that he's a very intelligent and interested little lad - is he being stretched enough at school, or is he bored, so this comes out in his behaviour? One thing we did when our dd was younger, was to suggest that if something was worrying her, or she wanted to tell us something without actually speaking to us ( and we have always been a very close family, always talking, but sometimes children find it difficult to express themselves) then write us a little note and leave it on our pillow to find. By doing this, we found out that she was actually being bullied at school, and were able, with the school's help, to get it stopped. If your little boy is having issues with visiting his dad, maybe he doesn't feel able to tell you as he feels an amount of disloyalty, but maybe, just maybe, he would be happier to write it down ?? Good luck, I send you a big hug, and I hope this resolves soon, for all of you.0

Just a quick update, not managed to have *the* talk because DS came out of school with a huge lump on his head and a sticker on his chest which said I have banged my head at school today! No explanation or anything!! I asked the teacher and apparently he was left for over an hour looking like a ghost with no colour in his face and no one bothered to contact me! This followed by a 3-4 hour wait in the hospital as he deteriated and has concussion! I was so angry with the school that they can do something like this!!
However on a brighter note the headmaster has called and spoken to me, and he also spoke to my son in school at lunchtime and has basically given Thomas some ideas of things he needs to do at home and asked him to sit down with me and suggest that we write a code of conduct for at home. This is something the school uses and it works!
I will update the thread as and when I can!
Thankyou to all once again!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
