Becks - tbh I get embarrassed at being so down and everyone picking me up (not that it is not totally appreciated) so you just carry on being your cheery self!

    tis windy here...Bookie enjoy your day.......oh and I forgot....hang on a mo!

Its not that I'm not sympathetic I just find it hard to empathise with the way you are feeling because as far as I can remember I've never felt that way - I think I'm a bit odd like that...:o:o

    Happy birthday bookie!

I have a new curtain pole and new curtains to hang in our bedroom today and a matching light shade.
Good old sale items in Dunelm Mill :T

Sick of looking at cheap, virtually transparent lilac curtains with a wonky hem & the old bent light shade, the bedrooms not even lilac anymore and hasn't been for ages!

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

  • Thank you everyone. :D
Where's SRM with the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs? :rotfl:

Oh - and the thread title has changed! :j:j:j

Great aunt has sent me a cheque for every year of my age so that will sort a few Christmas presents out. (wish I was 100!).
Ex business partner gave me a bottle of Bombay Sapphire last night - is it too early? :o

Going to order a M&S grandson personalised card for Samuel using the code from this site - free =49p p&p.

Tesco have £5 off their photobooks at the moment so tomorrow I will put one together for his mum and dad and adapted it for my parents and MIL. (Take out my ex for my parents)

    Morning all.

I have lost my voice :o, although actually feel slightly better, so got up, had a Lemsip and a bath and started getting ready for work. Then Natasha came wandering in looking like she had been punched in both eyes. So had to ring work anyway and tell them I wouldn't be in.

Ringing work is rather difficult with no voice!! :rotfl:

Managed to get an early appointment so she now has drops (she LOVES having those put in, as you can imagine), and I have more co-codamol. :j (Can't take them yet though as have had Lemsip)

Neighbour who teaches at Ryan's school took Ryan in for me, so it has been a rushed morning, but could have been worse.

Happy Birthday Bookie!!!! Hope you have a lovely day.

    Happy Birthday Bookie!

    Good luck Luc.

Sammy, I wasn't about last night but I'm sorry you're feeling down, hope the doctor can help you.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.
