I have a Nissan Micra and if I leave it in the drive when I get home at 5pm then put it in the garage later at night if it is going to be frosty, unless I run the engine for 2 or 3 mins it will not start easily the next morning. Someone in a garage told me that Nissans are known for that though until I read your post I'd never heard of anyone else having that problem.
So now I never just start the engine and move it into the garage or the other way round without leaving the engine running for a few minutes.

Ford made a similar error in the mid 90's with their Escort. They then revised the calibration to correct it, but if affected customers didn't notice the fault within the warranty period, the cost of updating the calibration on cars affected wasn't worth it.
Same symptoms. Car is only run for a very short time (e.g. to put in garage, move on driveway, etc) from cold. Next time you try to start car, engine floods.
Iirc, it was caused by purging of excess fuel vapours at an inopportune time. (which would also explain why it doesn't happen every time)"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100
