Have tried to see through the threads if anyone else having similar difficulties so bear with me if i missed a posting.

I should say that I have previously downloaded from both Amazon and Tesco without problems and so did the download this time and checked that it had come though in my Downloads folder.

My problem is that it arrives as what is described as a 'sks' file and when I try to copy and paste that into the appropriate folder of either of my MP3 players it says it has gone in but when I detach the MP3 player from the computer and try to play the file in stand alone mode, the listing is not there.

    Help muchly appreciated!!!

The 'sks' file when opened launches the Sky Download Manager program which you will need to download and install on your computer first. This program manages the actual download of tracks and places it in a folder on your hard drive, most probably in your My Music folder called 'Sky Songs'

  • I'm getting the following error message when trying to download an album using the free credits.

Internet Explorer cannot download sks from songs.sky.com

Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong :o. Has anyone else had this error message?
You can touch the dust, but please don't write on it

I'm using a mac with snow leopard and it won't install. It gets near the end of the installation then says "installation failed." Very annoying

Nope - debit cards too - post amended :)

not to split hairs here but as i posted in the first thread on this subject you can NOT use maestro which makes no sense whatsoever but appearantly skysongs wants to alienate a large portion of would be users by not providing it as an option... and yes i tried to use my maestro number under the solo option and no it doesn't work :(

How do I completely remove my details / cancel my account after downloading the album?

(Don't want to give any money to Murdoch on principle so I won't be using the service.)

Or will my account just be deleted automatically after 1 month has elapsed?

By the way if you don't know what to get I can recommend these albums:

Mumford and Sons: Sigh No More.
    XX by The XX
The Low Anthem - Oh My God, Charlie Darwin
Bon Iver - For Emma, Forever Ago (also the EP Blood Bank)

best of everything; they just make the best
of everything that comes along their way."
