yep , i did that which was sucessful . but i didnt get an option of where i would like my album / file to go on my pc . so i downloaded it again (right click) save target as - to my music .... all i got was a file with the ie logo on it .
what you've saved is probably the *.sks file. If you open this, it should launch the Download Manager app and complete the download. It should by default go to a subfolder in your My Music folder called Sky Songs"Who throws a shoe, honestly?"

Just thought I'd add a picture to help out a little bit.
1. On http://songs.sky.com/#subscription enter the promotional code FIRST.
There will be no other opportunity to do this later in the process.
Actually I was able to put the code in at the point where you enter payment details (I hadn't spotted the first one ). The amount then changed to zero. I got a payment confirmation with £0.00:Order summary
Sky Songs Subscriptions (10 credits) - Sky Songs 10 credits (Your subscription cost has been discounted by 100%)£0.00Subtotal £0.00 VAT £0.00 Total £0.00
Your order has been processed using the credit / debit card registered in your Sky Payments account. Please retain a copy of this email for your records.0 -

It may be a big coincidence but I was sent a link to this thread by a friend, followed the link from here to the Sky music, joined and downloaded my songs and then a couple of hours later I was contacted by Barclaycard as in the same moments as Sky did their validation check against my card, another company called mypocketpal.com also did so. It took several goes but I finally got Barclaycard to understand that whilst Sky was mine, the other one wasn't!
It may not be the Sky music, it may be something completely different but its worth a check of your statements to be sure so just offering a heads up.

Thanks for this. As a classical fan, I thought I'd point out that there's *loads* of good classical stuff and, since you get 10 tracks to download, you can potentially get a couple of albums of classical stuff. I've just downloaded a double CD of Mahler's 1st and 2nd Symphonies, which at £0.00 is a very big bargain"In all affairs it's a healthy thing now and then to hang a question mark on the things you have long taken for granted." - Bertrand Russell0
