Hi hun, good to see you back
Ok, so you're going to have to go bankrupt.. at least you know, and now you do here's what you do to save the fees.
Pay all your essentials bills, everything that you need to pay - house, utilities council tax.. you get my meaning?
All the unsecured debts that you're struggling to keep up with don't pay, cancel direct debits and use that money to save for BR. I hope i've helped, I know it's difficult to get your head round something but you have to look after yourself right now and saving for bR fees is priority. No use throwing good money after bad.
Hope you're doing ok0 -

hi megan
glad to see you posting again, and i'm glad you went to your appointment with the CAB. as MicheH said above, if you only pay your essential bills and not your unsecured debts this will help with saving for the fees. it must be tough for you with the kids and memories of your son, you're doing well and sounds like your kids are understanding. at every step of the br process i have wondered how i will get through but i have, and you will get through it as well.
you've had a day of information overload no doubt, so be kind to yourself and get cosy on the sofa with your kids. this can wait til tomorrow.

Help.
Hi again everyone, i', now feeling like im in real trouble, I can't see anyway out..
I just came back from a meeting with CAB, which turned out to be a waste of time, not his fault but my circumstances. I got myself all organised with paperwork and took everything, the option being bankruptcy. Everything was looking ok for that, then he noticed a loan I have with FLM which a good friend of mine went as guarantor for to pay for my sons funeral and headstone, what a big mistake that was. It turns out if i go bankrupt my friend would be liable for the debt but it has to go in bankruptcy. I cant do this to her, she lost her husband 18 months ago and had problems herself, it wouldnt be fair to dump my debts on her, and i was told im not allowed to pay it as it would be seen as preffering a debtor. The guy from CAB wouldnt help me anymore unless i put it on bankruptcy. I said i couldnt and could we make payment offers to my creditors but he wouldnt do that either. I feel like a piece of poo and ashamed, i can't see anyway out of this mess and now i just dont know what else i can do. my debts are in a mess and so is my life, whats the point, i have nothing for my other kids for christmas or any way of getting anything, its the anniversary of my sons death on christmas eve and i cant face it or christmas. i really need some help and dont know what else i can do.0 -

If the loan repayments are not that big you may be able to pay her back each month out of your surplus or maybe cut back on the housekeeping a bit to pay her back after bankruptcyBankrupt 07/10/2009

Thanks but the guy from CAB told me that the debt had to put on the bankruptcy and on no circumstances would i be allowed to pay any money to my friend for the debt, this would be totally illegal and liable to a hefty punishment from the OR, im scared to death now.0

Would you be likely to have any surplus left after going BR ?
If so then what you do with that surplus would be up to you, I can't see how they can tell you how you can use that surplusBankrupt 07/10/2009
