  • i am medical retired and a company will try its hardest not to to give you a pension , but i rather i didnt get mine as it reduces housing benefit and stops me getting other benefits i would be £70 aweek better off without my pension a crazy world we live in .

Megan start by trying to fill something like this in

    http://www.makesenseofcards.com/soacalc.html

It will focus your mind on what you are paying out in essential bills and who your creditors are and how much you owe. Print it out for the CAB and file the lastest creditor letters in a file to take with you.

As you previous BR was 10 years ago the OR will not be interested in it.

As Max says give ACAS or your union a ring about your pension.

Sending you some cyber hugs :grouphug: (and yes I know they look dodgy but I am only being friendly, honest)

Take a break from it for half an hour or so. Take something for the head and go and have a walk.

hiya hun hope you're doing ok, sounds like you've got a lot on your plate
don't forget we're here to help
i'm so sorry to hear about your son..can't imagine how difficult life is at the moment,
you're doing the right thing by addressing your finances
don't let work push you into going back if you're not ready. deal with them in writing and i'm sure you've got doctors backup anyway
as far as your SOA goes it's pretty much spot on. do you not pay gas? what about prescriptions/dentists etc? tigerfeet is the expert, she'll be back later by looks of things, just wanted to say hi and send you (((hugs)))
the first part of looking at your finances is the hardest, especially if you have buried your head in the sand (my speciality) but it gets easier, honest
good luck with your CAB meeting, they'll be helpful i'm sure.
    all the best xxx
