What is the deal with Vision2learn?

  • Hi

I've just completed my 3rd Level 2 course through vision2lean and I'm very happy.

Essentially this company use Government funding within the UK that is CURRENTLY available but may not be for much longer.

It is true that you may need to wait for funding to become available in your area (specific to each course) as Vision2learn only vet you before passing you through to a real college who will supply the qualified tutor and run the course with the vision2learn content and through the vision2learn website.

I found the quality of learning material on the Lean Management Techniques, Business and Administration, and Infection Control courses to be of a high quality. The tutor support varied a little as you'd expect but they have standard response of 5 working days for most things and are often much quicker.

I'd say jump at the chance to get as many of these courses as you can (you can only do one at a time).

    Good luck and enjoy.

    John
  • I recently completed the business and admin course still waiting for my certificate (been 5 weeks) and just started another course however don't find the study literature very help (lean management) can they really make you may the admin fees if you don't conplete the course?

Thanks in advance for any help given on this

It does take quite a while to get the certificates but they do eventually arrive. Hang on in there and congratulations on the pass. I went on to complete the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt following the Lean Management qualification which you might find useful. I did this online with a US company called leansixsigma.com

    All the best

So I have read all the comments here they obviously vary but although this has already been asked I will mention it again; As I have a degree is it likely I will be able to do a course for free and how much time roughly do these course take? (I work full time)

Also if more people would add their views on the courses that would be great.

I have a degree and I'm currently doing the Equality and Diversity Level 2 course and that was free for me so I'm guessing the others will probably be the same. They say 10 hours a week but I usually do less than that; I started it in April and my deadline for the final (Unit 3) submission is June (I've just completed Unit 2). I'm happy with it so far, although I have found some of it a bit boring, and I'm planning on doing another when I've completed this.

I have just registered with them and am waiting for an enrollment package to arrive in the mail.
What are the examination processes like with them? Do you have to go in to an assigned centre or?

There are no exams. It's assigments only. You complete one assignment at a time, they mark them and give feedback. You can then redo parts if you haven't passed the assignment.

I've done a business and admin course with them, thinking of doing another. Always good for the CV!

And this ends up being an accredited and recognized certification in UK?
If that's the case then awesome!
