I'm doing my 2nd course with V2L, I have a different tutor who has asked me to re-submit some work but I think it's because she better at her job. She's explained what i've done well and how i can improve, my previous tutor just accepted what I'd offered.
Overall I don't have any complaints for two free courses.
  • They are definitely legit, I've known a lot of people who have done qualifications with them (due to my job I deal with some of this).
  • I have successfully completed two qualifications with V2L, and have no complaints at all. The quality of the tutoring was excellent, I received very full feedback on my submitted coursework, and plenty of encouragement.

Considering how expensive it can be if you are working, to gain qualifications, I think V2L is excellent because it is basically FREE 1-2-1 tutoring, and you don't have to make the commitment to drive to a weekly class and compete for time and attention from the tutor with a crowd of other people. You can work in the comfort of your own home, to your own schedule. What's not to like?!

The only drawback is that you cannot mess them around over deadlines - you must complete on time. Which I think is fair enough - a free qualification is worth it! I am pretty bad at time management, and to complete work on time I put in some late nights, but that was forgotten when the certificate arrived!

Remember, a Level 2 qualification is nationally recognised and will be recognised as part of your continuing professional development/educational achievements. It also shows Employers that you had the gumption to get up off the sofa and take the initiative. I would say, go for it.
  • I can echo Brecon Beacon's comments above. I've recently completed the Essential IT Skills Level 2 course & really enjoyed it. I thought I was already quite proficient in a couple of units but I learned a great deal, so it was really worthwhile.

I received feedback from my assessments within a couple of days each time - had some resubmissions but these were all straightforward. I'm about to move house soon but once I'm settled I have my eye on 2 more of their courses.
  • I am now on my second course with V2L. First one was for Business and Administration to which I must admit after submitting did take some time to be marked. I emailed all those involved with the course and my coursework was finally marked. I was successful in passing and received a cetificate.

As I had a positive outcome I decided to apply again for another course this time in Equality and Diveristy. I have had my first unit marked and passed and now working my way through unit 3.

I maybe in the minority but I personally have not had any major problems with the courses and have enjoyed both.
  • I'm a positive too. Completed an IT Users Level 2 course in August last year. I will admit it was a bit of a farce to get started with forms being sent out and then lost and resubmitted but the actual course was great. Straight forward, informative, great feedback and support from my tutor. Completed in June got my certificates in August but I presumed that that had something to do with normal certificate issuing for all schools etc???

Currently enrolled on my second course with them, Customer Service Level 2 and it's going well. Have had a change of tutor mid way through but this has not really caused any disruption. They're being very supportive again and giving lots of encouragement and feedback.

The IT course was through Bowling College and the Customer Service is Somerset (I live in the North East!). But these courses are completely FREE!! Somebody earlier said you would have to pay if you already had a Level Two qualification but I haven't found this. I got B's and C's in my GCSE's (a long time ago) but have still been able to do both courses free.

Having completed 3 courses with V2L all i can say that all they want is for you to submit the work in time. Yes, they take a while to get back at you afterwards but it is completely free and well worth it!
I have completed the Equality and Diversity one, IT Skills level 2 and Business and Admin Level 2

I have applied for a vision2learn course and have been sent the paper work but I'm not sure if I'm eligible. I have a degree and was unemployed since August. Is it ok to have a degree and do a level 2 course?

Also, I've been reading on here about the charges. I've just been offered a full-time job but I would still like to do the qualification. I dont know if I will be able to commit 10 hours a week just yet. Is it ok to just reapply in a couple of months once i've settled into the job?

The funding they get seems to relate to the course itself and your geographical location.

You probably won't need 10 hours a week and could seek to change length of the course if your circumstances prevented it.
