I want to do an Admin course but I wary of these people. They say it's a Level 2 qualification but doesn't say that it's an NVQ. For all I know it could be their own (worthless) certification.
And after reading the posts on this thread I'm in two minds whether to trust them or not. I did try earlier this year to sign up for a course but when I got the pack there was a note saying I had three months left to do a 4 month course. By the time the paperwork was done I estimated it would leave just two months. I'm good but not that good!
To be honest, I'm more inclined to trust a course I have to pay for such as those offered through the Reed.co.uk site and know I'm getting an NVQ. Trouble is, I have no money and cannot even afford financing without a job and I won't get a job without an NVQ qualification. My Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in IT has so far proved worthless after a year of job hunting for anything I can get.0 -

Me too! Finished it about a week ago so not got the cert yet but all feedback was prompt and constructive - regular calls from their central office too to check you are OK with everything or if you need any additional support.0 -

For the fee you have to pay if you do not complete the course, they do ask you on the phone whether you accept this condition or not.Competition Wins:

i've only had good experiences with them TBH i have done a 3 courses through them and i have usually received certificates within 6 weeks (one took 9 weeks) i am now on the IT one but have done almost all of the ones that i am interested in
i did find some not available at times but have always managed to get on it in the end
there are some other places that do free courses like the grimsby institute but i am still waiting for feedback on the units after 3 monthsThe only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 50 -
I have done 3 courses with vision2learn and never had any problems. Work was marked quickly with good feedback given.
I feel that if you do not complete the course you should pay a fee as the funding could have been used by someone else and you have taken a place (without good reason of course).
The timings for assignment deadlines were reduced as the end of July is the cut of date for the academic year. So i was advised i had to complete by then or start in august.

Has anyone heard of these company? They claiming that their online course are FREE but I was wondering if anyone has actually done one of their courses and if there is any catches.
I am very tempted to do one, it can't hurt to learn something new, especially if its free as they say.
No catch. I have recently started completing their Equality & Diversity course. Aparently, the government fund the courses, but they don't seem to be well advertised. I saw these courses through CV Library email.0 -

Some of the exercises received no feedback. I completed them all anyway because of the penalty if you don't finish by the course deadline. By the end I just didn't care any more.
They had the cheek to continue sending me marketing emails and only stopped when I rang (at least 3 times) and threatened that I was going to report them to Trading Standards.
The course may be free, but the students still need to be treated properly.
I am wondering if this was more about the college you were allocated to rather than Vision2learn? I have always received replies and my tutor has responded very promptly. Their live chat was really good as well.0
