Thanks for the reply. I think I will wait until closer to when I will be applying for my next job (at least 6 months) so that the qualification is as recent as possible.0 -
I have done 2 courses with Vision2learn both fine and whizzed through them with no problem. I decided to do the Customer Service course but due to a sudden increase in workload I was unable to complete anything but the first assignment when I should have - I have been given an extension but am now getting constant calls from the Support Team coupled with threats of £120 admin fees (though the last letter said £65!). I am not sure I will be able to complete the course now as nothing has changed at work but do not recall being told anything other that you may have to pay an admin fee if you do not complete the first assignment. Of course when I asked for proof of what I signed up for they have nothing. Asuch a positive experience in the past this has left me disappointed.0

I believe V2L receive government payments for each 'pass' and so if you don't, then they seek to claim that money from you!
I did one course and likewise remember no mention of having to pay if I failed. But I have also received such threats. I have submitted all the assignments required, but they have marked some down. So in the end I didn't pass.
They extended the deadline repeatedly until the last (definitely the last) was about a year after the courses' normal finish date!
I am still bemused that the tutor, after marking an assignment as failed, returned it to me to redo, with suggestions as to how I could answer correctly! First time I have ever been coached on an assignment!0 -
That's funny as they told me the government pay the college who have to pay the money back if you don't finish! As I work in the education sector I know that's tripe for fees. I agree re the coaching as well but also found some of what they ask is ludicrous. When asked to describe my product or service I answered medical undergraduate and post graduate courses. Not enough it seems I need to add about finance and accommodation etc even though that is nothing to do with me at all. So let's make it up eh!0

I guess the end result is the same, they lose if you fail. So they try to get their money back by 'fining' the student for failing.
I was curious that the in-course questions were often ridiculously easy - in the extreme. Whilst the assignments obviously were set to national standards. The contrast was very marked.
As I say for other assignments and exams I have sat elsewhere, the work you submit is the only chance you have. Nobody came along afterwards and said "why don't you put this and that"! I think I would have been very suspicious of any exam system that did that.0 -
I was planning on doing one of these courses ages ago. The sent me the forms, but they were asking for ID to be sent in as well as something else (bank statement maybe?), if I remember right. Anyway, they certainly wanted either a driving licence or passport as proof of ID for enrolment.
Has anyone else had this and if so what did you do about it?
I'm still interested in this so are the forms different now or do they still ask for that?0 -
The learning provider must evidence that they have seen proof of ID for any funded courses. It is a requirement of the Skills Funding Agency and normal for providers to ask.0

I can't send my driving licence off to them though so what are you supposed to do?0 -

Sadly, I am not involved in distance learning so I am not sure what the answer is, sorry.0 -

Scan the DL and email the file to them. I think that is what I did some time ago.0
