Good luck Emma, i lost a child many years ago, it takes time to move forward with your life and its not somethig you can put a time limit on. I found i used to think he/she would be 10 now or a teenager and one thing i used to worry about which allot of people with think is really silly but was whos reading him/her their bedtime story and tucking them up in bed. Sound daft i know but thats greiving. If your doc is not very good have you considered having a chat to your practise nurse?

    hiya

i had a chat with my tutor at uni, who is a qualified nurse and has bereavement training. obviously she cant prescribe me anything as she isnt in practice now but i dont want anything like that, i just needed an impartial ear i think! i have also spoke to a councellor at the MA. i am sleeping and not as emotional now so im happy!
the one thought getting me through the day though is getting pregnant and i don know how to handle those feelings, i wasnt broody b4 at all, its hormones i suppose isnt it.

we thought about planting a tree or flower but my gardening skills are poor, i have seen an angle type ornemant thingy for the garden and thought of buying that..i dunno.. (wont need watering!)

I work shifts and i always find when i come off nights that i can't sleep at night for a few days.
I find now if i stop myself from having any naps, Have a warm bath, air my bed and spray lavender oil/Avon sleeptherapy spray in the room and on the pillow. I then wait til about ten have a cup of milky horlicks ( i make it with milk into a paste first and then add water) Go to bed and read a little bit, then try and sleep. it doesn't always work, but most of the time it has.

I have tried herbal remedies like mytol and they work but i only take them when i m exhausted as I want to sleep normally not because of tablets. i know this isn't really the same as you as it s only my shifts but it may help.

    Hugs.

fortunately for the last few nights i have slept well i think it was all connected to the grief or something...altho for a couple of days i felt i was losing my mind! wierd what the lack of sleep can do to you..
