Ok make that 2 LOL0 -
You are posting the design , to seek if the 'brains' on this forum
can see any flaws
Looks good , but would slightly worry that when you walk into the kitchen.
Freezer to the right and worktop and wall cupboard to the left
Is there enough room , will it be a bit of a 'tunnel'
Which way is the door hang ?
Does wallbash talk rubbish0 -
OK, Ikea kitchen fan that's good with me!!
Can't find it, but will look again later, another Moneysaver had simila(ish) layout & posted his before & after pics, too - looked good. When Doozergirl signs in, she'll know, it was the guy with loss red one & big black B&Q floor tiles.
Anyway, stuff I'd change on yours....
Not sure if the kitchen door could be re-hung to open against wall, instead of units (unless it only opens that way on the image) 'cos it looks tight, there.
Do you NEED units around the fridge - it'd look more impressive, freestanding & less cluttered.
Can you not have a cupboard to hide extractor & offer a units of wall units instead (like I've done in the pics in link )

You've not got a balanced effect, with units matching, width wise on either side of wall units, which could & would look better having them same width as base units as well.
Wine rack - do you want it, or is it just used as infil? It'll only get dusty.
The verrrry right hand unit, do away drawer option & again, it'll be more balanced.
Is the verrry right hand wall unit overhanging the worksurface, is it too hard to be reached into & maybe blocking window.(awkward to clean, as well as use & lets less light in.)
What is on the missing wall, that we can't see? If this is open plan, fine. If not it'd be handy to 'see' whats there, too.
As a home safety type issue, often forgotten, the temptation & ease li'l people could create a 'ladder', from opening drawers, next to a cooker, to climb up to hot surfaces & food, might be 'ed out', if the drawers were on the other unit run.
What you also can do pop down to B&Q & get them to plan & price on THEIR computer as you'd have input from their 'des', a price comparisson AND better printed out images. All for free!
Good fun this!!

Agree about the access from that door facing the side of the fridge...especially with the side the door handle is shown on. I'd change the door so the hinge side is in the corner if possible and i'd shift the fridge/freezer etc around the corner onto the wall with the other door on - though we don't know what's there already! If there's room you might still be able to use that wall (one without door or window) for some units near the corner and perhaps a small length of additional worksurface for small appliances such as microwave etc. I'm guessing you've got a radiator on the unused wall - if so then IMHO it would be better where the fridge/freezer is at the moment in the plan but ensuring room for door with hinges switched to open (i'd opt for a towel radiator if you can).
Anyway you've got the key kitchen "triangle" in there. But think carefully about direction of opening doors. I notice the wall unit to left of cooker hood for example you have two doors hinged on the right..i'd have put one double unit with doors hinged left and right opening from middle - cheaper than 2 individual cabinets usually and makes the wall unit more versatile in storage space. Same on other side of cooker hood.0 -
Thats better, lots of advise.
There is nothing on the wall that you cant see. Where the fridge is going to go is a rad which was going to me moved onto the wall with nothing on.
I might have to go back and have a fiddle around with it by the looks of it.
I will post some pictures up later of how much kitchen is now.0 -
A floor pan might help us .
Ist ( very quick thought )
leave rad where it is . Wall to the right of the door , is 'dead' space ??
Would 'open; up design, feel less crowded
You haven't told us how many are using kitchen0 -
