Paid another £200 to Virgin and that's finally got me through the £16k barrier - Total on CCs is now £15974.
I seem to have been hovering between £16-£17k for about 4 months with balance transfer fees and the like.
But all balances are now where they should be so I should start knocking about £800 a month off the balance :jCC Debt at LBM Nov 08 - £25000+ DFD Dec 2012Second DFD May 2021Starting my MFW journey: Opening Balance: £138,000; July 2019: £135107.33; July 2024 £52974.602025 MFW #360 -

I have fallen off the wagon with this challenge but hoping to get back on next year if there is a new one....maybe I should go for a slightly lesser target, maybe 5k....in the meantime I have been doing some bootsales, listing on ebay and hoping to sell a few bits via facebook Marketplace - it all helps anyway even if I have no idea what I have or haven't made towards the target - we have saved on a holiday this year as had a few weekends in UK rather than a biggie abroad! Recently I have been having a big declutter I took 3 car loads (people carrier) of utter junk to the tip other day (it wasn't even sellable) and felt sick at how many people were there dumping stuff....make me realise we just buy far too much and most of it we don't need - I am gonna really try to live a bit more frugally for rest of this year and next - won't be advert for the Good Life but maybe do a bit more to reduce clutter and my impact on the landfill and my own bank balance may also benefit. Massive well done to all of you who have reached target or are still on track - what a great acheivement!!!!0

Hi
Just a quick post.... although I think this thread has quietened down somewhat, I rarely get my midnight updates any more!
I am amending my original target as my circs are changing (returning to studies ) and leaving my full time job so my income will be part time and bursary funded. Again,.
I am hoping to keep saving throughout this time, but obviosuly on a much lower scale, and will be dipping into savings for car bills and hopefully a little holiday later this year.
So I will amend my sig to 4320/5000 and reduce my target from 7000 as there realistically is no way I will hit that- once I get to 5000 I will have to take out again. humph.
Hope everyone is doing well at the moment.0 -
Over 10 days since the last post!?! Where has everyone gone? Hope you're all still working towards your challenges...
Well done claire on your return to studies, always a hard move but one that I'm sure will be well worth it and well done for still having a target!
I've just updated my sig though not all my payments have quite cleared yet, they're all direct debits so I should be good. Just trying to work out what I can do to round up to £9000!! Would be such a great feeling!Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...0 -
I am now up to £9370.68 which is 93% so far this year. Should be able to make the £629.32 as i have a few debts to pay off which should help. £6650 of this was savings though. Have reduced my total debt so far by £2000 though.MFW 2016 No 68 £1300/£8500 No new toiletries Cook sth different0
