Hi All
I've not posted since the challenge began so hope you will all still have me...
I've only been managing to chip away slowly at the target - it looks insurmountable now but I'll keep at it. I'm sure I can put a bit more effort in to boost the total.0 -
Hi all,
Thanks for the update shadydaz, inspiring as always. Busy (and expensive!!) weekend for me so delayed update on totals as of May.
Paid off debts since Jan - £3939.31
Saved towards various activities incl. honeymoon - £2056.60

Just got to keep going.... had a hen do to go to in Liverpool last weekend and this weekend have a wedding in Bournemouth. Spend spend spend!
Hope you're all well, keep going and good luck for June!!

Another £200 payment to Barclaycard so I'm through the half way barrier at bang on the right time.
Quite excited because have just done my sums and if everything goes according to plan I might be able to make an overpayment on MBNA this month. That will be the first time ever I have paid more than the minimum on that card - we've had debt on it since 1999  I think my and DH have kept MBNA in business over the last 11 years....
Anyway it will be the first overpayment of many and I'm hoping to move some of it onto a 0% card very soon as well as moving the Barclaycard debt to another 0% when it runs out in a couple of months. The next 2 cards I apply for should be the last 0%'ers I ever need to apply for again and that's quite a big thing for me. I started the credit card shuffle in early 2008 and thought I'd be applying for 0% cards forever more but although there is still a long way to go, I do feel that I can see a small glimpse of light at the end of the tunnel. :jCC Debt at LBM Nov 08 - £25000+ DFD Dec 2012Second DFD May 2021Starting my MFW journey: Opening Balance: £138,000; July 2019: £135107.33; July 2024 £52974.602025 MFW #360 -
Me again!
A little good news and a little bad.
Have just checked my online banking to see that I've made the final payment on one of my loans. :T and have made a payment on another loan. That takes my debt payments so far to £4239.50 and my total amount up to £6296.10.
However, also checked my emails as I knew my friend had booked my hotel for the wedding I'm off to tomorrow and for 2 nights it's £180. Eek. There's always something....Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...0 -

June total so far £1000 :j:j and will be adding more at the end of the month
Keep up the good work everyone! I am finally getting there after dragging my feet for months it seemed.0 -
Made a £350 payment to Virgin today and Barclaycard sent me a 0% offer until March 2011 so have now taken £2300 from MBNA and put it onto Barclaycard.
Although that is good, it does mean a rethink of my whole repayment strategy. Will apply for the two 0% cards I was going to apply for anyway I think and then put it all through the snowball calculator when all the balances have settled down.CC Debt at LBM Nov 08 - £25000+ DFD Dec 2012Second DFD May 2021Starting my MFW journey: Opening Balance: £138,000; July 2019: £135107.33; July 2024 £52974.602025 MFW #360
