I think I read somewhere (on here probably!) that there are 7 cards currently offering 0% for 15 months or more and just over a year aago, there was just 1 so there are offers to be had. I've been quite lucky in that 2 cards I already own have offered me 0% as well so keeping my credit checks intact tooCC Debt at LBM Nov 08 - £25000+ DFD Dec 2012Second DFD May 2021Starting my MFW journey: Opening Balance: £138,000; July 2019: £135107.33; July 2024 £52974.602025 MFW #360 -
£1,300 to add this month.
Also, some good news in general...Found out had won £75 for an Asda shop online (had no idea, probably won it last September!), and just won a meal for two for a restaurant in London, three courses with bottle of wine, coffee and water. That'll be my OH birthday treat then! Our VERY old car passed its MOT so the threat of having to buy a new car has passed.
We have very nearly met our saving target, so are going to contact three builders this week to get quotes for the loft. So exciting!!!Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

I haven't been on here for absolutely ages!!!
After a realy promising start to the year I've slipped quite a bit. Not to a degree where I'm spending on my cards again but I haven't been putting as much effort into not spending and making extra money. The main reason for this is that it was making me really stressed not letting myself go anywhere or do anything... I'm still not going out and spending that much but I'm back to having a life instead of being a hermit!
The one thing that I am really happy about thought is the fact that my loan is now under £10k. I'll finally have it cleared in just over 2 years and then I can start living again... The loan (and the loan it payed off) has been crippling me my entire adult life so knowing that in 2 years I'll be free is a really inspiring though.
Anyway, glad to see so many people are still on the challenge and doing so well. Good luck for the second half of the year!! :T0 -
Woohoo! Payday tomorrow and I've managed to make an overpayment to MBNA of £200 and I've still got a few quid in my purse :j
Also hubby has had a 3.5% payrise this month with 1% for 2009 being paid in a lump sum so a couple of hundred extra going into the bank tomorrow
If I have a "stick to the budget" month I *might* be able to overpay MBNA £300 next month.
Looking forward to getting my new CC statements and updating my signature once my balance transfers have been confirmed.CC Debt at LBM Nov 08 - £25000+ DFD Dec 2012Second DFD May 2021Starting my MFW journey: Opening Balance: £138,000; July 2019: £135107.33; July 2024 £52974.602025 MFW #360
