Afternoon all. Havent posted the daily thread for a good long while now due to previous bad experiences with some MSers but I hope you don't mind if I come back now and start to post again.Gping to be needing something to pass the time. Our TV went off today after the Wright Stuff and now we can't get anything on any channel not even analogue. We cant get analogue here which is why we had the cable in the first place. Flatmate is not as pessimistic as me and thinks that it is just a tech issue with the cable due to weather etc but I think that they have actually cut us off.

On top of that I am battling with Hotmail.I cant seem to log in. I changed my password when they had the big security scare and have forgotten what I changed it to. Things is since I inherited it from an ex I cannot recall his postcode etc or details of when he set up the account before I met him. We are no longer in contact and he lives in Japan with his wife and kid now.I have given them full details of as many contacts, emails and folders as I can recall. Cant recall all my msn contacts as I had it whenI was looking for someeone and added a lot of guys and girls as friends I no longer remember. It breaks my heart to not be able to access this account as it contained all the emails from some really special relationships with exes and friends.

ON top of all this garbage and as well as the financial problems we are having it seems that someone took my debit card while I was in the M&S Penny Bazzaar queue on Friday and I have about £4 left until my new card comes. If there is any problem and I dont get it this week and they have to cancel and start again I could have to make this last the best part of 2 or 3 weeks.

I really do hope everyone here is having a much better time of it. xxx

EDIT forgot to mention I have some unusable Tescos half price Pantene vouchers going spare

Today I see we are a bit short on bread so decide to get the breadmaker out to save going to the shops and spending.
Loaf of home made bread now sitting on the side in the kitchen waiting for me to get the food slicer out to slice for easy use.
Oh came in saw what I had done and then went to the freezer and got the free hovis loaf out that I was saving...He has now gone out again.

Bet if I say something he will blame it on the adult kids without a thought.

He did!!! blamed it on DS and said he would only eat shop bought bread!!! said he could not see what the fuss was about as it is only a loaf of bread.I said it was not to do with cost, just that I had gone to the trouble of making a loaf.

Bread will refreeze perfectly safely..... just put it back in the freezer.

He will doubtless ask after it (thus can't blame the others) and you can then err 'educate' him!!
  • Hello everyone :hello:

Had a lovely weekend here and couldn't believe it was Monday morning already.

Managed to get a load of housework done today before heading into the office where I feel like I achieved alot.
Came home to make pea and ham soup for tea but discovered that I didn't buy the ham hough I thought I had yesterday.
So have rejigged the meal plan and it's meatballs tonight which will be done in two lots as the girls have Brownies at 6pm.
It's cold and a bit damp so the fire is lit and another load of laundry is on the airer. Our bedding is dry and ironed so OH will put that back on later.
Need to bake some banana muffins this evening to use the over ripe bananas and have some cooking apples (free from a friend's garden to stew.

    That's all folks

Lovely to hear from you Twink. I was asking for you last week. Congrats to Squishy and your DS. :j
We had no luck mushrooming yesterday celyn apart from finding a phallus impudicus which smelt worse than I remembered _pale_. Love the gingerbread men. x
    Lovely pups Sarah.

it will be a store cupboard tea tonight , not sure what, I did manage to pick up a chinese meal for 4 from mr T's whoopsied of course :D for tea tomorrow though

DD2s hamster died last night she has been very upset, we have had to bury it in the garden and she made a little cross out of lolly sticks to mark the site - bless

hope everyone enjoys their evening (((hugs))) to all that need
  • Evening all

Not had time to read thread yet so hugs to all who need them.

Busy day in work, but I'm just about to go out and meet a friend from Camp America. She lives in Birmingham but her nan lives here so she visiting for few days. we going for a yummy chinese :)

I'm rather annoyed with people who live at my flats as for the past 2 weeks I've not been able to park in my allocated parking space  which has meant I've had to park in someone else's space which obviously then annoys someone else. I have an idea of who the culprit is, but it's 2 different vehicles they park in there (car and van) so I'm not 100% sure. I don't want to have to leave them a note on windscreen but looks like I'll have to if it continues.

Also when I woke up this morning there was a puddle on the floor of the lounge (laminate). The only explanation is a leak from ceiling but there is no watermark on ceiling and it doesn't feel damp  I rung letting agent and they are sending someone this week to look at it.

    Have a good evening all

Don;t be annoyed - just discuss it with him like 2 adults :D

As this has fallen from the front page of OS, I'll add it to the Daily thread where people chat about the ups and downs in their OS days ;)

Sistercas - sorry about the hamster. I had one when I was first living with my H (he was inherited from someone - I forget where) and I cried buckets when poor Aubrey was found stiff in his cage :(

Reverbe - sounds like you're having a rough time at the mo. Hope it improves for you soon xx

Haribo - I wish I had an open fire to light. Had one in our first house but sadly it's either gas or electric here (we went for electric which we never use - just put the lights on sometimes for effect). Lets be honest though I just wish I had a house in the country, the open fire would be an added bonus :rotfl:
