Good morning everyone.
It's quiet here today hope that everyone is ok. I have an appt at my doctor's at 10am so will know more about what's going on then.
I'm going to dust through and let DH hoover
as I've been told to definitely not lift anything heavy or hoover or stand for long periods. I'm guessing that the doctors haven't seen the ironing that my lot create  Meatballs & spaghetti for tea and lunch will be some spicy lentil soup out of the freezer. Not much else going on really.
I had a lovely afternoon/evening yesterday watching NCIS 4th season on dvd that DS3 had bought whilst out with my Mum. We managed to watch 4 episodes and I got a fair bit of my current cross stitch project done at the same time :T
PurpleIvy My word what a day you had!! You put me to shame with your organisation
Well Done
Hugs to anyone who needs/wants one & I hope that you all stay dry in this horrible wind & rain.0 -
Morning, seems like the 'weather' is countrywide this morning. Busy weekend.
I've ironed last week's workshirts already. Am now sitting with the Laptop, SADlamp and a cup of tea. Got to go to the physio in a bit. He will no doubt inflict pain.
Am going to do some housework this morning, but dh helped move the furniture before he went so that I can start and seal the next area of tiles. IT's the scrubbing them first that is the big job though.
Got lots cooked yesterday. We're on bits and bobs from the fridge for tea today. Not sure about my lunch. Porridge for breakfast in a while I think. Need to up my fruit and veg and get off some of the other stuff I think.
Few admin things to do as well.
have a good day all, will no doubt be back here later."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Morning Chums ,what a nasty looking day, grey damp and drizzly.my brother just phoned me from France where he lives and he says its the same out there as well. He's fed up with the weather as its usually his time of year for 'putting his garden to bed' as he calls it.
Well no washing will get done today, as there's no point as I don't like wet washing hanging about indoors. Got more than enough clothes, so its not a problem. I must go out to pick up my prescription from the Dr.s for my regular meds as I can't not take them, and I took the last lot this morning.
Uni tonight, I will see how my essay was received:eek: its my first draft one, so I can at least alter it if my tutor isn't happy with it.Bless her she's great, she won't send it off until she thinks it will do well in the marking.
well time to get a wriggle on,have a good day everyone and keep wrapped up well
Cheers JackieO xx0 -
Morning Guys!
Had a terrible night but nurse has just been with extra pain killer, so just kicking in now. Today I am just resting at home, doing nothing.
OH dropped DD to school then went to B&Q to use a 15% off voucher for a door and a few other bits. He is taking his dad to hospital which will probably be the best part of the day for his treatment.
Dinner is sausage, mash, cabbage, carrots and peas and cooking extra for neighbours. House is pretty clean and tidy and toilet has been scrubbed.
Hope all is well with everyone.
Take care.

Morning all, hope you are all well.
Bitsy  I hope your FiL is okay ((hug))
I have had a hectic weekend
We had a bumper haul of mushrooms at the weekend, which was great - mainly blewitts, field mushrooms and various types of parasols. The season has been so bad this year, but now it's wet and mild everything seems to be emerging. I have a load in the dehydrator at the moment and we had some of the blewitts fried last night.

OH found a load of amanatopsis too - but I'm too chicken to eat those, so we didn't pick them. :rotfl:
Must have had about 2 kg in total and the field mushroom ring will crop again in a few days as there were loads of tiny ones. The largest parasol was 17 cm in diameter. There were loads of field mushrooms in the school grounds too, but no way in to pick them
I sold some items on folksy - I can't believe how fast it has been - six items in total plus an enquiry about a custom order. I felt really bad though as I don't have net access unless I am at work so I had to make people wait
I sent lost of grovelly mails and hope people will be understanding.
I made some ninjabread men
(because I was bored)
and had an attempt at making cobweb felt - my small sample piece is looking really good for a first try.
Have a good day all, cel x:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -
Morning all!
Brighter but still a bit blustery here today!
Have hoovered and tidied - only collected kids yesterday evening, and they still managed to create chaos! I have four children, so how come this morning I collected 10 glasses from the sitting room? Words will be said tonight! Pots all washed, BM and WM on, need more UHT for yoghurt so will do that later. Bathrooms all still clean - discovered that ds enjoys using the spray and window scraper to clean the shower, no wonder it never gets soapy in there anymore!
Have some baked pots left over so will do cheese and bacon crispy skins tonight, and have lots of soup, so will serve that with crusty bread for the kids dinner - will take some into work with me tonight.
Kids packups: cheese and carrot sarnies, apple, carrot sticks (it's getting darker earlier, all the carrot will help them!), piece of clotted cream fudge and honeycomb covered in choc (bought at shop that makes own sweets yesterday, and very nice, but a bit too sweet for me!)
My lunch: leftover veg curry on baked pot.
Dinner: carrot and veg soup, crusty hm rolls (or just bread if I don't get round to doing rolls!) and filled potato skins. Will be muffins for pud, as I need to do some lunchbox baking and am planning on choc muffins!
Plans for today involve a trip to Morrisons, sounds like they have a lot of offers on at the mo, I've scribbled something about persil and passata, and apparently beef is on offer according to the shopping thread, and there are several buy one get two free, which includes ragu sauces, and they are great for pizza base topping!
So shopping, baking and then into work early, as it's carnival time here and the roads will all be closed early, so if I don't go in early I won't be able to get in at all!

My sister made some gingerbread men a while ago and iced them to look like ninjas - it sort of stuck! I made some little gingerbread man earrings and did the same

Gentle ((((HUGS)))) P-P, sorry you had such a bad night. Hope the extra painkillers are helping a bit. At least you are in the best place for a day like this, although you must get very bored, it's horrid when you aren't well enough to do anything except rest yet again  xx
Celyn - What lovely mushrooms! Loving the ninjabread men too :rotfl:Glad you have sold some stuff already, that's great!
mummysaver - I'm so glad you mentioned passata, i need some too, and some onions! Must jot those down quick before i forget!
Sunnygirl - Poor you  i hope the doc can help for the time being and that you won't have to wait long for hosp appointment.
jackieO - Hope Danny gets good news about the job, fingers x'd, and for his GF too.
(((HUGS))) to all in need - there were lots of people i wanted to mention but can't remember who
I didn't make it to church yesterday as i'm having trouble with my stomach - lots of bloating and aching, and none of the usual remedies help. I'm having to wear an old pair of big jeans which look awful. Still, there are much worse things in life. At least I got 5 loads of washing done
Today I think we're going to Matalan to take back some stuff we bought for DS last week - a lovely coat whose sleeves are far too short for him, and 2 sweatshirts that he only managed to get his head and one arm into:rolleyes:
Yesterday's dinner was Spanish Pork with Olives, which I managed to get organised so that it was ready nicely in time to watch the whole of Doctor who with no interruptions :j. Today I think we'll have corned beef hash if i remember to get the onions
Hope everyone manages to keep warm and dry.0 -
My dd and her friend made gingerbread men to take to a folk festival with them (I refer to their cake making activities as Boy Bait, as they get the tent up, get the kettle on and sit outside the tent with cups, tea and cake!). They decorated the gingerbreadmen to look like all the different morris dancing groups there!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"
