I suspect that given their ages, hex's boys will probably find that the small change is quite handy as spending money ... in the shop ... for sweets :p.

That sounds best to me too.. but a lot of shops are refusing to take large amounts of change (more than 20p) because they supposedly have to stick with the '5 bags in the bank' thing as well!

Are there really 11 days left this month! I've got to do my in-laws a Christmas hampster by the end of next week and, as of yet, I don't have the money to do it. It'll all be fine.

Just read that back....nice as a hampster would be i'm actually going to do a hamper:rotfl:.

and only 35 to Christmas!!!!!!!!! I am a little excited!!!!

Do you not always call them hampsters??? We do.. I just assumed that you did too.. We have vultures too.. you know, those bits of paper you use to get money off things...

I'll be sending out card lists on the 30th if anyone else is interested?

Really getting very little done at all this week, never mind not in the mood for cleaning anyhow.

I feel that horrible end of November stress feeling rising.

  • Jill - my lovely thank you for remembering about us! Doctors again tomorrow at 4.30, though we all know what the outcome will be even though she won't say it out loud, so will hear tomorrow that she is keeping it. Head is a massive shed, you just want things to be easier for your kids don't you? And it will be hard for her and us and DD1, but we are a strong family. Been looking all day on this site for help financially and freebies for her and us, sounds pathetic and money grabbing, but until she says we can't work out a plan of action as a family with all parties having an input. And you my love - DON'T be so hard on yourself, you are loving and giving and you have come on in leaps and bounds with the home!
Sorry, haven't caught up with, well have but then lost all train of thought, just had to post after seeing jill's, so love/hugs/healings vibes where needs. You lot are an amazing bunch xx

:hello:I've caught up! Special wave to Jassa - the very grumpy looking woman with 17 13 year olds was me...:D If I'd known the trip was going to take four hours I may not have got on the boat at all, which is probabaly why they didn't tell us. It's very frustrating being that close to the harbour but going no further! You should have seen the amount of freight parked up.

I've been in school today, eyes open, but not a lot going on behind them. Laptops and pc's all day pretty much. And the Head popped in to my Year 8's this afternoon, just to see what the problems are with our ICT room - as they were three or four sharing the few pc's that work, and some were just in the middle of complaining bitterly that their pc had just shut down for no reason, I think he got the picture. Said we would have the room refitted, but we would be the last to be done before the school rebuild.:j:j:j:D:D:D I've promised the kids that if the pc's turn up before C****mas, that I'll treat them each to a bar of chocolate. Amazingly, considering how little I was concentrating, they were all 'engaged', on task, and working.

No flying, I've got the dentist tomorrow, but I have to do some housework, and the weekly shopping as well. I won't try and get stars this week, just do the main bits.
It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be
