  • carlsberggal Can't add anything practical to what's already been said - but what shines through is the obviously strong relationship between your daughters, and between them and you. With that as a foundation anything is possible.

    My day so far - DS has been dragged to GP's and it seems he has another grotty ear infection. So trip to chemist for the penicillin, lollipops "medicinal", and a fresh book from the charity shop next door. Now safely ensconced on the sofa with a poorly blanket and with luck he'll be back at school Wed or Thur.

    Now to sort out work, and oh heck it's lift share day - best make a quick call, and put some washing on the line as it's lovely now.

    Back later,

    Moam
    Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

    Monday ~ Living room, hall and stairs All done Toots :j:D
  • I tried to post earlier and clicked submit reply and th broadband went at exactly that moment! Grr. Have sort of fixed it now hopefully.

    Anyway, all I said earlier was that I was going to the PO and the bank, and now i can report that I have done so. Remembered last night that the rent was going out today, so had a quick shuffle of money from my personal account to our joint account. Then I had to scrape together all the money we had in the house so I could post my parcels and put some in my account to bring it back to zero - so I took this wacking great long parcel into the PO (a picture from Ikea) and the lady gave me a look when I produced it and I had to weigh it further down the counter so two people had to move so I could get to the scales! Then I had to pay, so had to pay £7 in 20ps and £2 in 50ps! Poor PO lady, she must have hated me! I think all the other customers did! Although someone in there absolutely stank, they need a bath.
    * Chase compost bin
    Where is it going and why do you need to chase it? Mind you, with this wind, it could be anywhere. WHat intrigues me is that you know it will blow away and that you will have to chase it, why not just weigh it down so it can't blow away? :p
    Not quite sure what else I will manage today.....but will have a quick tidy up before my visit from Rose tomorrow.....:p ;):D
    Oy missus, no tidying required! You know me, not bothered about that. Just want to see you

    Have sorted the washing and first load is on.

    I have also discovered what DH does all day when I am at work laptop-emoticon.gif :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

    Suppose I could update Quicken with yesterdays spends oh and I need to defrost the freezer to make some room. Will get DH to help with that.

    I really AM taking it easy as I am only doing essentials and BP is back to normal now
