Afternoon all,
I've only skimmed the thread otherwise i'd never get anything done.
I've only just got in. This morning i did a bit of Xmas shopping then i went to OH's house to wait for the man to pick us up to get the hire car ( he didn't come and is apparently coming this afternoon now, i don't need to go as long as OH shows them my driving license ). The car is officially dead, the head gasket has blown:rolleyes:.
I'm glad it's living room day, the Rabbits have been running around inside and have covered the floor in sawdust and straw.

MissHiggerty: "Chase Compost Bin"
Where is it going and why do you need to chase it? Mind you, with this wind, it could be anywhere. WHat intrigues me is that you know it will blow away and that you will have to chase it, why not just weigh it down so it can't blow away?
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Very droll.....
No - I have a compost heap which is.... well... a heap! But my greenhouse is ever such a long way from it, and there's a steep hill as well, and I got fed up of barrowing all my g/h prunings and veggie patch heave-hos all the way up the hill. So I ordered a plastic compost bin specially for my g/h on one of those 'WRAP Composting offer' deals :money: with 28 days delivery... and that was 2 months ago....
I've received the plastic mini-composting bucket thingy they promised, but not the bin itself. Winged an e-mail this morning....

Carlsberggal... I've just caught up and read your post. PLEASE be supportive (by the sounds of it you are:A) I had just turned 17 when I fell pregnant. I'd been kicked out of home a few months earlier (no I wasn't a naughty girl:p) but was still sort of in contact with my parents. When my mother found out I was pregnant she wrote me a very nasty letter
I haven't seen her for 14 years now and DS has never met her.
I wish your DD all the best in what decisions she makes.
Think I shall have a cuppa and watch neighbours (:o:rotfl:) before I get on with rest of list:DBLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -
Have done nothing yet so HHC at 1:40...............0

carlsbergal hugs babe
dont worry
my daughter did a similar thing 2 years ago well 3 now cos macie is coming up to 2yrs
firstly
she needs support and will feel so relieved that you know
she must have felt really bad with the burden on her shoulders
she can defer with uni and pick up next year if need be (nursery at uni an option)
she may want to move to a uni closer to home
it has happened now and not much can be done to turn the clock back
sit down and write down the options good and bad
then rule out any options which arent realistic options
then plan out the realistic options and work out which is best
try not to take over the decision making but give loads of support and hugs- dd will have to live with it whatever so it must be her decision in the end
i was devastated when i got told i was going to be a gran....but before you know it if thats what you decide between you ...you will be looking at baby clothes
when it sinks in you WILL feel better...her life and studies are not ruined..but will just happen differently now...
take some time to get used to it yourself...and you will be in a better frame of mind to help with some decisions
she needs you right now whatever she choses - a termination is traumatic but having a baby is a life long thing...
I agree with the above. Good luck, it definately is'nt the end of the world. The problem with common sense is its not very common:rotfl:

Garage now empty except for freezer (can't move on my own) and ladder (will have to stay outside, so will be moved at the last minute).
Chicken soup and bread eaten for lunch.
Must go and get the car dealt with now.
Technically I'll be working when I get back, but I may need to be flexible on timing as I HAVE to finish the upstairs floors and start freegling stuff so that I can get into the utility room later today!0 -
