I've de-clutted, scrubbed and tidied DS room today, going to do DD next then ours, need to take stuff from ds room to charity shop on the way to pick him up from nursery.
So off for a well deserved :coffee:then I'll set off (will be a drowned rat when I return as it is raining down in the bucket loads here).
Carlsberggal hope everything works out for you and yours, ((HUGS))0 -

Didn’t go brilliantly – though we did get a hug for her new phone for her birthday tomorrow. Drove her back yesterday, took over 5 hours there and back. Just going to pub to chill after when DD1 and DD2 came in. DD1 said we can’t go to the pub and can’t we just talk as a family? Now I’m thinking !!!!!!! I just knew it had to be something, so we sat and talked the 4 of us for over an hour when the truth came out – DD2 is pregnant. She’s only 18 and just started uni and she and boyfriend no longer together but still friends.
As you can imagine we were floored, but remained positive as you have to don’t you? From what we can gather she had her last period in August – she thinks (!!!!!!?) – so could be coming up to 4 months, so even if she wanted to not have it it’s probably too late. They are booking her in for a scan to determine how far she is. Basically she wants the decision to be out of her hands as she says she can’t make it. She had test done at doctors at uni and they are booking her in for the scan down there, but we want her at our doctors and up her with us.
Am sat at work and just want to cry, trying to keep it all together, my bottom lip keeps wobbling and I HAVE to get a grip. She’s just rung her portfolio manager at uni, who was lovely, told her to take week off and that to see her next week and talk through her options. She’s now ringing doctors for an appointment. Update – she’s just rung them and she’s no longer registered as she has registered with uni doctors!!! !!!!!!!!!!!! So she has to go and register today and then they will make an appointment for her tomorrow.
Sorry for the telling you all, but there’s no-one I can talk to at the moment. Even my sister doesn’t know yet. Don’t even want to think about my mum and dad or her other grandparents yet. Her Dad is coming back today from golfing in Spain, we’ve told her that we will be there if she wants when she has to tell him. I said I’d tell him, but she feels she has to.
Love and hugs to those that need them, sorry haven’t caught up from old thread so don’t know what’s happened
A xxx
We kinda fell out......just because she was so shocked you know:cool:
We are cool now though, and my baby is 17 today:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
You just need to be there for her as wilf says, and support her in whatever she decides.....but let her make the decision herself.....its not the end of the world;)
If she is anything like me, she will have a great weight off her shoulders now, having told you:A
I never thought about it from my Mums point of view but now I can see why she was so upset:cool::heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -

we had 9 in a 3 bed council house when it happened!! and we managed
if thats what you decide...to keep the baby you will love having them both and other dd all at home....its lovely
but first thing first...make some decisions although with time contraints i suspect they may have already been made for you ...and then once you get used to the idea take time to enjoy the situation....cos you will!!
hugs for you all xxSave 12k in 2015 member 187. £62.50/60000 -

In my last HHC:
Quick tidy-up of bedrooms and beds made.
Dishes washed and dried.
Cooker cleaned - know it's not a kitchen day but it was heading for Kim & Aggie land :eek::eek:
Carlsberggal - (((hugs))) to you. One step at at time and keep breathing, it's okay to have a little greet. You sound like a super Mum and your dd is lucky to have you. Wilf has given some great advice. I'll be thinking of you today.

(((hugs))) carlsberg - if mummyof5 is around, I know she's just been through the same thing, so I'm sure that she and wilf (and jinky) and others will give you plenty of good advice.kazmeister wrote: »i think i mewt youyr dad on a jopb once
beengree do you have a dog
You probably have met my dad at work... and I don't have a dog but my parents do - it's an orange (well, dark yellow) labrador (a very small one).Dustykitten wrote: »Greenbee - can you post pictures of your garden and give us some idea of the sort of thing you like - traditional, tropical, modern, grasses
Will do...
OK - plans have got somewhat rearranged today! Parents have left (upstairs hoovered by rest of house still chaotic); electrician is coming later to disconnect the electricity to the garage, so priority is to empty the spare freezer; landscaper is coming in 20 mins to talk about garden work so must find chequebook to pay for last bit of work; I've called the woodstove place to let them know I'll be in today; went to physio and car has told me it needs a new lightbulb, so will be going in to get it dealt with at 2pm.
Really need to get level 1 done throughout the house today, as it's muddy/dog-hairy & sticky!
Dusty - my dad has taken your parcel home and will post it tomorrow. Not sure why, but apparently he thought it was easier...
Better get moving...0
